hi welcome back to my YouTube channel I am coach Cheyenne and we are here for the three-part driver series part three the three things that I think will help you be successful with your driver are the following but if you haven't watched part one and two make sure you do that it'll also be tagged at the end of this video and all the links to everything are below in the description the three most common mistakes that I see but also I'm gonna help you fix them so you are going to be set up for success one the T we've spoken about it before I'm gonna show you again what it is with the team to do along with the tea box number one number two we need to talk about what is happening in your swing path are you looking more rounded are you looking up and down what happens to your right elbow the chicken wing I'm gonna talk to you about that and the third thing that we're going to talk to you about is it seems so simple it your shoulders and your feet but what happens to them when you are swinging so not mostly based off of your aim but what happens when you're swinging let's get started [Music] [Applause] so let's get started with number one number one the infamous tea I've seen way too many of you since my last two videos even you are teeing this tea up way to deep into the ground think you only want the bottom little base in the ground you want it nice and high I know a lot of you are having a tough time with understanding that it needs to be top half of the bow see the little line the equator line needs to be above the driver you might be having a hard time with that and understanding that so just tell yourself you know what I'm going to T just the bottom little half bottom little like fingernail worthy into the ground okay but with the tea comes the tea box we have to make sure we take three steps away from the tea box to see which direction they're pushing you in this one is pushing me to the right towards the that fence over there I would like to go straight towards that 150 or the 100 yard marker so when you are practicing you have to make sure you build your routine and you do exactly that every single time because what you do in practice you're going to take to the golf course so do not be that person who comes and smashes driver after driver because you can't figure it out you need to hit a driver maybe four times in a row then take an iron hit a couple iron shots because on the golf course do you hit a driver and every hole most of the times you hit a driver in every hole but do you hit a driver back to back shot after shot no you usually only have the t-box right so hit a driver hit a Hybrid or an iron come back to the driver hit four more go back so you kind of feel that balance end further with the key boxes and all that good stuff the number one thing I want you guys to remember is the driver is the longest Club in your bag okay it is the longest Club it is also the hardest Club to hit in mind to be kind to yourself but at the same time it is the swing that is the most different compared to every other swing so half of the time with your irons and your hybrids and your woods and all that good stuff we are telling you guys right constantly heads down did you get that hit down with the driver you are actually trying to swing up you're trying to swing up and catch the bottom of this golf ball you want to hit it in the middle and you are trying to catch the bottom of this golf ball so if I'm here I'm just stuck my tea in there I've come back here with all my irons I'm going down right with my driver I am swinging up what was that ah [Music] again I'm swinging up so that's the number one thing that is different the club is longer you are swinging up and not down and it is the hardest left so be kind so let's start with that first then we go to the T which we've just spoken about and you've watched part one which talks to you about aim and Alignment so how you do that how do you stop so number one success done number two success let's actually talk about the shoulders and the feet so we've come here we lined everything up shoulders look great knees feet everything is lined up to where we are trying to go what happens with a lot of us sometimes myself included is we come we do all the right things and then our first movement we like to go with our shoulders I'll show you again we like to go with our shoulders then we try and turn our hips and then release the hands and then half of you are too late or a lot of us come this way and and through and we get the infamous slice where it all goes to the right or it goes so far to the left and we smash our club and get all annoyed so close our feet our shoulders remember our feet aren't doing weird things our shoulders are lined up our right shoulder dips because we're trying to hit up and we are not moving our left shoulder first watch again a lot of us are coming shoulder and then we're swinging so number two is your feet and your shoulders dipping the right one down and you're not going to relieve with your shoulder okay this is where part three comes into play what happens to the right hand goes with not leading with your shoulder so what are we trying to do you heard me say you went to no man's land that was part two of the video so we're coming back here we're over here now what happens if we're not leading with the shoulder we need to drop in our brains whatever however it clicks for you you need to think that those right elbow needs to come to your right hip you need to drop sometimes to practice that if you just need to go really slow and hit a couple of balls where you can feel your right elbow dropping have your phone or your iPad in the back videotape yourself to where you can see this traffic okay so we're here to speak towards the target my lower half of my body is Basics towards the target if you are a tennis player how can I explain this to you I love the tennis tonight I am here I am coming back and I'm hitting the Top Spin forehead so I'm here I'm coming down here and I'm swinging through so I'm coming here swinging through oh let's watch it again coming here see this right elbow swinging through and up if you were a tennis player you are not your left shoulder through up it's just like the golf swing through up okay so let's show you the same thing with the driver here goes you're gonna practice nice and slow a bunch of times until you get the Rhythm so let me show you a slow one foreign [Music] the release on this club is really good I caught that pretty close to middle but not exactly middle what I'm going to do is actually going to tell myself swinging our backswing almost pause for a split second pause and then just think shoulder goes towards him so this is what I'm going to try and practice these are different ways to yourself with shoulders so [Music] and there goes my teeth I start to build my confidence I can pick up my swing speed okay last one here we go and then I'm gonna hit my arms so feet right shoulder dipping low I'm gonna swing up T is nice and high gonna hold my finish and my belly button is going to face the target [Music] just like that but all of this is great unless you practice none of it's really gonna click and you can't start nitpicking at yourself if you don't put in the time so part three is done put in the time let me know in the comments if either part one or two also helped you or did you take all the information from part three put a three on the bottom if this video helped you make sure you click subscribe and push the like button and we'll see you soon thanks for watching [Music] thank you [Music] that's better all right so I've just cleaned this driver up let's see if I can hit the middle [Music] hit the middle of the driver base nice and slow nice and smooth [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] but I can't see where the ball Mark is on that one these are range balls so we have to be kind to ourselves
