Sometimes out on the disc golf course, you don't always have a clean look at the basket Especially in the putting green, there's a bunch of different situations. For example a low ceiling. The trick is to get on your knee and putt from your knees I'm going to show you how to do it Alright guys first things first get comfortable, feeling comfortable and relaxed is one of the most crucial parts and disc golf You don't want a sharp root or a rock digging into your knee Clear out anything dead and unattached and put down a towel or disc to give you the cushion you need next gauge your gap The last thing you want to do is get tunnel vision and hit a tree branch that a brand new player could have easily missed How much room do you have to work with? Think about the height think about the width? You can only make the putt if you make the gap so focus on that first Use those boundaries to help guide your route Aim just below the ceilings so that you have the best chance of reaching the basket Once you're confident with your route keep it locked in don't lose sight of your boundaries Next and most importantly grip and commit Low ceiling putts almost always require a spin putt and with spin putts You have to have a solid grip on your disc to allow it to snap out of your hand You don't want it to flop out and come up short, so grip it good and give it a chance Tell yourself that you're gonna make it and then do it Sometimes you'll need to check and adjust If the basket is in the woods chances are you'll have twigs and vines Reaching up from the ground An easy tip to avoid embarrassment and extra strokes Check your reach back to make sure some dinky plant doesn't catch your disc or hand Get comfortable check and adjust Gauge your gap and finally grip and commit In extreme cases of obstruction Alternate angles are necessary You may have a tiny window to the basket, but the gap doesn't match the typical hyzer shape You'll have to release this disc on a different angle Sometimes more hyzer Or in this case anhyzer And lastly nose up and forward It seems like common sense You'll never make a putt if you don't give it a chance To increase those chances on the most obstructed putts keep the nose up and pushing forward Put as much energy as you can into the disc moving on a straight line to the chains then more up and down Or flutter the less energy moving forward Being confident and comfortable as the key guys check and adjust gauge your gap work with those angles Nose up and forward and always grip and commit Okay guys, so the next time you find yourself in the tricky lie Just remember these tips share them with your friends Like and subscribe stay tuned for more videos
