(claps and laughter) – [Man] All right. – Hello everybody, right, we are here in West Palm beach, Florida for the TaylorMade photo
shoot and the product launch. It is day one, we're
here for a couple of days and we're filming tomorrow. But today, we get to see the
brand new TaylorMade products. We're gonna test it out and see the behind the scenes with some decent players – They're Not bad are they?
– Decent players.

Well, there's six of them here today, and you probably know who they are. – Who are they?
– Do you know them ? – Oh yeah, I think you should tell them. – Okay, so Collin Morikawa, Matthew Wolff, DJ, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods
– Tiger Woods. How could you leave Tiger to last? – And there is one more addition, a new guy.
– New guy, – Who's actually been
and have seen already Tommy Fleetwood.
– Tommy Fleetwood. – It's gonna be cool, isn't it – So it's all lined up here. – It is gonna be cool, – But we gonna bring you guys
along for the ride today. Show you what it's like
behind the scenes here. At the 2020-21 photo shoot. (upbeat music) – Okay guys, as we speak,
the players are right behind us in the tour van
getting the product reveal.

Everyone else is watching
in the tent here. And then as soon as they've done that they're gonna go out there onto the range and actually test it out. So I'm really gonna be interested to see what the product looks like this year. (upbeat music) Okay, so I'm on the range now. Behind us you could see, just
testing out the new product, aren't really feelin' the same yet. So I'd be interested to
see how they're gettin' on, and what they think of the new stuff of what we've seen the
driver looks interesting. And looking forward to hearin' actually what the difference is compared to last year, but we'll
check it out in a bit.

All right, guys, it's our turn now to learn a little bit about the driver. – Come on in, guys – Okay, let's check it out. So this is what the, obviously the top the guys
have just been in here checking it all out. Piecing the things together. I like the colors. – [Piers] Mm. – [Andy] Matt's going
to take us through it. I like how they've used our colors, Piers. – [Piers] It's basically,
gonna have it next year, It'll be SIM 3 with
Meandmygolf logo on it. – [Andy] It'll be the SIM Meandmygolf. (men laughing) – Yeah, we just, like, your guys' content is so good. We might as well design
a driver for you guys. So it's all about SIM 2 this year. So these drivers, you
can see, we've really dissected individual
components to optimize them individually, much like
you would an F1 card.

Every little component
gets just combed over to the minutia to make it as
best as absolutely possible, which is what you see on the
mat here in front of you. Carbon crown, right? This is something that
we've been using now for several years. This is very important,
because it's lightweight. Six plies. This allows us to move mass from the highest point in the
driver and put it down low. And let's talk about the face. On this face, we still of,
course we have twist face, I alluded to that, right? TaylorMade's custom face curvature, which allows us to correct for how that face is delivered to impact when you're hitting it
off center face, right? Making those mis-hits better.

Last year, right? With SIM we had the speed
injection on the face. Same with M5 and M6. Thanks to this new CNC process, we're able to really control
how hot in this space is, push it past the legal limit, bring it right back with
this toe tuning port. So this is the entire sole now. It's for a sound and
also for good durability of the driver. – [Andy] Sounds massively
important, for you guys right now. – [Matt] And this driver sounds amazing. I love the way SIM sound, but this has a much brighter sound to it. Very lively.

Everybody that hits us, the feedback is just like immediately wow. Okay, and the most important piece. This is the forged aluminum ring. This is what is so different about the construction this year. This ring here creates the
address profile of the driver. So right now we're going to go ahead and we're going to build this. We're going to put this back together. That's something I'm really excited that we're going to be offering
this year is the ability for golfers to pick the
color of their ring, as well as a couple other
features on the driver.

– [Andy] Oh, you just destroyed that. (men laugh) – [Matt] (laughs) You just broke it? – [Andy] Driver over there. – [Man] That's right. (laughs) – [Andy] That where Tiger
was standing, wasn't he? – He was emotionally
attached to that one, too. – [Andy] Yeah, yeah, he just broke it. (men laugh) – [Piers] I don't mind. – What shot? – Well I think Tiger we got to see cut 6 iron that front flag right? – High or low? High or low? – We're going to the left flag? – Um, right flag. – The right flag at the 160, let's see the high cut with the six. – Hi cut the six? Not bad. (laughs) Yeah, he knew that. (men laugh) – Let's hit a, a high draw. – High draw to that same pin? – Same pin, same club. Let's just figure it out. – That's a beauty. – [Man] That's gonna make it. – It's gonna get there. Do you change, is that just all hands, that's all speed? – Speed in my hands. – [Collin] Right? Yeah. Just because we're swinging
slower, essentially, it does not mean my body just stops. If we go slower, that means
everything's gonna stop? I don't think it does.

You're still moving the
same way, right, Tiger. – Right. Slowing down, now counting the green flag. Little draw. And the club is three iron. – With the three iron,
so now you're really playing the boundary. Yeah, look at that. Honestly, to see it, it's fantastic. You've got to head over to speak to DA, but to be here, and to witness this, guys, honestly is a pleasure for all of us. – So, uh, that was Tiger, Collin Morikawa and Trottie obviously hosting, talking about the art of ball striking. It was interesting just
listening to Tiger, how he was sort of feeding it through to Morikawa, to Collin,
about how he does it and how feels are different for every player. So he might be feeling something, but then you look at a
video it's very different.

What was absolutely the most
impressive thing about that, I think, they're hittin' that six irons, this flag here, which has got
two boons either side of it, and Tiger finished it with three irons. – [Andy] Yeah. – And the swing doesn't
look too much different, and yet the ball is still
going the similar yards. – [Andy] Same, same, yeah. – The control, we talked
about it all the time, the control in his hands, so Collin there was actually
hitting some shots there, and was thinking about his hand speed without changing hand speed, body speed stays the same, which somebody was talking about a lot. But one thing I know I'm going
to do as a result of this, is when I go and hit balls now. – [Andy] Three irons. – I'm going to push the boundary (laughs) on how far you can hit with one club. So, you go 170 and then
go 160, 150, 140, 130. – [Man] Hey, can you
move that cart, please. – Even to the point of hitting 90 on seven irons,
which I know some titles. 'Cause I'm not very good in that, and I wanna be better at it. But anyone watching this
they should do that as well.

Get one club, to hit it
lots of different ways. – That was an amazing experience. Just to actually just stand there and be the witness a conversation of Tiger talking about irons to Collin Marikawa. Yeah, that was just,
that was just brilliant. Could have stayed there for
three hours but (indistinct) We got the bags. We got the clubs. So heading to the ninth hole, we're gonna hit 'em, and
we're gonna test them out. So first test in a minute, we'll give you the first sneak peek, what's this in here? Four iron? Four iron SIM in there. We'll try that as well. (upbeat music) You gone for, let's have
a look at this one, Piers, so we go on 10, you go on 10 and a half. – [Piers] 10-five. – [Andy] I'm gonna go nine, because I'm a, I'm a spinny guy, you're a low spinny guy. – Yep. – Let's have a look what
it looks like, guys. What'd you think of that? We'll get the ball in a moment, and just first test, I think the sound's going to be quite different,
but we'll see, won't we? We had the talk off
Matt in the tour truck.

A lot of technical information, that you may or may not need to go. You'll be able to find that out. But the basic principle, the difference of this
is basically the driver is now, the components is
a four piece construction, really really light, which means that they can move the weight in better places, higher
launch, lower spin. And the face is really, really forgiving. The sweet spot's bigger, it's more oval shaped and
it sounds different as well. So a lot of speed, no adjustability, apparently. So we're going to test it out
and Piers, actually in a bit he's going to have a fitting with Trottie in about an hour's time. So this is just the testing phase, before the fitting stage. – [Piers] That was absolutely beautiful. – [Trottie] What
percentage power was that? – That felt like 70. – [Piers] Just hit this one, then tell him what you just told me. For my stories. – [Piers] Pretty much carbon copy.

Nice. Tell me what you think? Difference? – So it's definitely a livelier feel. So I was saying that off
camera a minute ago that the M5 and M6 were quite dead, or solid. I actually really liked that feel, but this feels like a combination between that sort of solid feel and just a little more
lively off the face. So it feels, it's hard to describe. A bit more, a bit more clicky, but without being too
tinny, if that makes sense. – All right. What a day that has been. It's been amazing here with TaylorMade, and seeing the players.

Product looks really good. Obviously looking forward to
try that a little bit more. But it was, I think the highlight for us was watching Collin
Morikawa and Tiger Woods talking about hitting into the wind. Unbelievable, as it's
just very windy here, you know, effects the golf ball, it blows the bag over and if
anything's attached to the bag, (laughs) it can do some
severe damage to the– – Yeah, no. – [Piers] No, I got a bit.

– Note to self, do not leave your glasses hanging off your bag,
because this is what happens. (Piers laughs) – [Piers] Oh, look at it, they're crushed. – I really like these glasses as well. – [Piers] Look at that. I'm actually really disappointed. – [Piers] Oh, well, nevermind. Anyway, you have a good
day, haven't you, Andrew? – I've had a really good day. Yeah, a highlight for me
listening is to Tiger and Collin. – [Piers] Yep. – And just testing the
prototype, really like it so far. You're going to get your
fitting off Trottie soon, which is, I want to get
mine fitted as well. 'Cause that makes all the difference.

But thank you for watching. Hope you've enjoyed it behind the scenes. I mean, this is just, we're privileged to be
able to experience this behind the scenes and get up close to some world-class golfers, and Tiger Woods, the greatest of all time. So hope you've enjoyed it,
and yeah, see you soon. – You realize that, Andy,
thank God for Rory McIlroy. – (laughs) I know. – What did he think about
that top of the backswing? – Oh, there you go. – Look at that.

– [Andy] Really good. – Go! – [Andy] It's there. – Oh!.
