– Can one move really help
you stop casting, flipping, rushing your down swing
to give you that power and the time you need to have consistency? How long does a goal swing really take? When we look at the pros, they seem to have a
variable amount of tempo, back swing, down swing,
but they all get speed. They have time to make their
sequence work, and so can you. When we hit from the top,
we get jammed into the side. This jamming causes flipping. It causes a lack of speed. But when you get the sequence right, it will give you more
time to swing through and have the freedom you
want in your goal swing. And all of this can be done with just one move from
the top of the swing. Let me know if this is resonating with you and get up out of your chair,
go and grab a club right now because I want you to try this with me (ambient music) Instead of trying to hit at the ball, instead of trying to rotate
hard or fire the hips, this is for those of you who really do swings that get you jammed in here where you're just too
tight and the body stalls and you end up sort of
chicken winging here.
We're going to feel the first
move is the butt of the club is going to go that way. The club is just following a
straight line coming this way towards you, but we are allowing it to try and stay on a kind of level field. We don't want it to be
lifting up too much here, and we don't wanna be
pulling it down this way. See what I mean? So just for a fraction, we're gonna feel like it's
following a close line or a rope this way. And by doing this, you
are going to give yourself just that little bit extra time, but you're gonna still create
the width in your swing that gives you the leverage and the natural lag and
the room to swing through.
I promise this is so simple. You can do it out on the golf course without ever practicing
it and see the results. (ambient music) And once you've developed
that sensation and feel, that's all you need to go and do. Just make some swings. Doesn't have to be full, long swings, we can even have the similar sensation with a short swing here. We are just feeling like we're pushing the butt that way, okay? We're pushing it that way. And then from there, you see that we can get into
a very nice impact position where we're not high here where the hands have to flip through.
Our delivery is ideal. And if you haven't seen it already, I want you to go and
see the low hands video because this really taps into that and you can check it out below. So make some practice
swings, feeling that delay, allowing it to just push here, so then we swing through, okay? That's all we're trying to do. Have rhythm, have flow, and have that sensation
to make our swings. This way, now something to look out for is we're not over exaggerating this. From the actual swing, I don't want you to try
and push it that way, okay? We're not allowing the body to move. We're just allowing the
hand sensation to feel like, "Okay, we've got a bit of width here.
We've got a bit of structure." Another little drill you can do that's gonna display this very well is just hold the club halfway down. As you make your back swing, I want you to sort of feel like
you're pushing it that way. And you can see from this
angle that we're there, okay? There. Just pushing it that
way just for a second. Now, we still want to transition the pressure of the feet a little bit, but that's kind of, for now, the video.
I just want you to give
yourself a bit more time and feel like you're pushing it that way, just for an inch or two. Then we can piece it all together. So we still transition,
but we're very observant about what the hands are doing here. (upbeat music) Easy. And the best part is, this
works with every club, especially driver. This move has such a profound effect on people's goal swings. And I really want you to try this so you can suddenly feel what it's like to have the time you need to get rid of those crappy shots, okay? So practice it even without a wall, but just practice that
sensation, pushing this way.
Trust me, it is gonna make all
the difference in the world even for little shots. Okay? Use that with patience, with trust, and let me know how you get on. And the other thing is this works perfectly with this video here. Combine those two and you
will have the most effortless, consistent power you've ever had..
