Welcome to Old Thorns Country club and we're
at the ninth green today looking at the Odyssey Black Series #1 putter. This is a classic shape putter, but there’s
much more going on than meets the eye. First of all it's made from 1025 Carbon Steel
but it's been given a lovely nickel, anti-glare finish. At the back of the putter it's got a tungsten
flange here. They've taken weight out of the hosel here
and put it in this tungsten flange to lower then centre of gravity and to get the ball
up and out of its stationary position, rolling end over end very quickly.
And there’s a nice alignment aid behind
the ball and one full shaft of offset. This is a precision milled putter. It's a milled face with a multi-layer insert. There's a lot more going on here, as we said,
than a classic putter. So, if you're looking for something a little
