Hi, welcome back to my YouTube channel. I am Coach Shayain. Today We're going to talk about what people
think is the simplest thing in golf, but probably the question that everyone's
most confused about as a beginner golfer, how high or low do I tee my ball up? I will help you answer that
question today. Let's get, start down here. Follow me. Come on down. All right. There are many different kinds of teas
out there as I'm sure you're aware of. The one that I have is just the
standard tea. There's martini teas. I'll have all the links to the
different teas below in the description. Let's first start with the driver. I have my five word and
I have my seven iron. I will show you the three
basic ways to tee it up and to solve all of your confusion.
If you've come with a driver, you need to make sure because
the drivers are all different.
The goal is you want
half of your ball to be on the half of you see this
little curve up here on the top. Half of the ball needs to hang
out on the top half of the curve. And then the second half of the
ball, obviously on the middle. And you're wondering why, because
in your driver, you hit up. It's the only time really you hit up. So we want to make sure it's
high enough where you have the top half of the ball
hanging out on the T on the top part of the driver head.
So not your whole ball up here, anything crazy and not
down here where you, most people think they
need to be nice and high half of the ball on the top
half of your driver done, you get that. They'll figure it out,
practice in your backyard, you know, do it where no one's watching you.
You're not stressing yourself out.
Another thing that I would like
to show you and how you use the T, which if you see people doing
it incorrectly all the time, sometimes the ground is really hard and
you try to take the T with two hands and push it down and being all
crazy. No Palm facing the sky, take the tea, place it in
between your two fingers, put the ball and the tea together. This motion gives you power and
strength. Some people have weak wrists. Then I would use both my hands to do
it. So this is what it would look like. I'm standing up. I'm trying to
aim, trying to see where I'm going. I grab my tea, Palm facing up ball in my Palm. I bend down with both my knees. If I have knees and I use. A little bit of a wiggle because
this ground is really, really strong, a little wiggle to get it in.
And I placed the ball again,
ball pen, going in this way, and then I can use the line to line it
up. And then, you know, the rest, okay. That driver accomplished your woods, your hybrids,
all the good stuff. People like to tee it up really high, just because they think that's
what they're supposed to do. And you're uncertain and unaware.
Okay? With your woods and your hybrids, you actually, your brain says tee it
high, incorrect. You actually go to TLO. So I'm going to go low, low, low to where it is a little
bit elevated over the grass. Just like that. You're a beginner golfer. You need a little bit of
assistance to help catch square on the club face. So my recommendation is having
it a little bit high above the ground. As you can see now, a little
bit high doesn't look like that. It's just over the grass a tad
bit.
So when your club is sitting, it is dead center of the club. Now, do you see a little bit
high would be over top of my five width and my five would, would hit straight T and not
catch the ball at all. Okay. So that is your woods.
That's confusing to you. Leave them in the comments below and ask
me a more descriptive question on what you don't understand
about that. K all irons, including your pitching wedge
and your sand wedge off of a tee box. It is so far in to where, if this was crass, I need. This bowl to just hover over the grass. And just be perfectly placed. So my tea is kind of sitting
in there and this is just hovering right over the grass. If you become a little closer, you
can see, I can even stick a little, little finger. You know what? You
can even push it down a little bit. It's just hovering right over the grass. Just to give us a little
bit of assistance. Here's my seven iron and
it's perfectly placed.
So with your irons, you don't want your T to
be hanging really high. Let's use this tee right here.
You do not want, I see this a lot. You do not want this because guess what? You're going to catch so much of the tea. You're not going to catch the
ball where you're supposed to. So we're going to keep
pushing, pushing, pushing, pushing until it's just hovering
over the grass for perfection.
Now, a lot of people are out,
ask me as well. I have to tee it. And I heard somebody saying this one. So I'm going to use this for you with
tiger woods, tease it. We will tee it, but every tee box, it's just giving you help and assistance
to make sure that your ball is going exactly where you're trying for it
to go. We know the game is hard. You are quite new to the
game and you're beginner. And you're trying to get more confidence.
Do yourself a favor and tee it up. Any questions in the comments below, make sure to click the like
