Hi, I'm Coach Shayain. Welcome
back to my YouTube channel. This is the third part of the series. If you haven't watched the first and
second one with basketball and football, make sure after this video at the
end, you can go ahead and watch those. I'll have both of them tagged, but today we're going to do the
combination of both basketball. What we learned was how you are
trying to stay focused breathing, and you have a routine.
In football We learned how we're
thrusting our hips forward. And our belly button is facing the target
and generating all our power through the back leg with the hips going
forward. So that was the football part. Today. We're going to do the combination
of both of them together with a volleyball, how exciting. [Inaudible]. I'm going to hit it against the wall
because there's no net out here and we're in Canada and it's freezing
cold. But for you guys, anything. So in volleyball, when you're up to
go serve, when you have to serve, you need a routine.
Everyone always
has a routine you're breathing. You're probably stressed. It could be
game point, your ball, your shot matters, right? So your serve matters. So what we're going to do is we're
going to breathe. I'm going to breathe. I'm going to have my
routine of bouncing my ball. I'm going to relax with my shimming
on my shoulders that I like to do. And then again, I have to thrust my hips forward
in order to generate power with my hand, almost like the same
motion like we did in football. So let's do all the combination
together so you can see it. And that's exactly when you
go up to swing a golf club, you're doing your preset routine. You're
looking at your target. You're relaxed, your breathing, your focus, you
know exactly where you have to go. You do your one practice swing,
and then you go up to the ball.
You breathe and you release your hips
belly button facing the target on the golf course. So this is the full circle moment where
we bring all the sports together with the volleyball to show you how it
correlates to golf. So here we go, three times, take a deep breath, relax my shoulders, shimmy
them out. Aim at the target. My hips are facing sideways
and I'll thrust it forward. So hips are facing sideways, two steps. [Inaudible]. And then you follow through with the belly
button towards where you're trying to go. Just like our golf swing, follow through with the belly
button facing where I want to go. You power up the back leg and
then go for it. So there it is. You've just watched me hit the volleyball,
the hip thrusting and the routine.
Now you're going to see the full
thing happened here with golf. I'm going to take my deep
breath. I'm going to do my aim. And then you're going to see
me with my hips moving forward, putting my weight on my trail, leg
and belly button to the target. So I have my ball. I have my grip. I'm relaxed looking at my target. Okay. Breathing focused, clear mind. Okay. It's my routine. I closed my
feet. I opened my feet. I shimmy. So I know I'm relaxed.
I look
one more time on my target. I crushed that. Beautiful dead straight belly
button facing the target. I did a slow back swing.
I powered up my back leg. I released and I trusted my hips forward, where my belly button faces the target,
just like I did with the football. And just like I did it
with my volleyball as well. And my routine breathing, relaxed, shimmy, exact same thing every time
left foot. Right foot looking. So you have to find your routine.
What does your routine look like? Make sure you do it. Every single shot from
hitting the driver to putting you need to find your routine
and try and clear your mind. So you can have tunnel vision and
focus.
I would breathe deep breath. I do three bounces. I'm looking at where I'm trying
to go. I'm finding my target, I'm breathing again. And
then I take two steps And it's the hips going forward. And my belly buttons facing where
I want to go with my shoulders. So just like how I was throwing
the football earlier with my hips, trusting forward, really seeing my
belly button facing where I want to go.
Exact same thing. When we have our
golf club, our hips. So going forward, we're releasing and our belly
button is facing our target. So this just shows you that different
sports are all interchangeable in terms of certain techniques that
we used to generate power hips, to clear the mind you need
a routine. So in golf, you need both of those as well. And now
you've just seen basketball, football, and volleyball, all come
together in a golf swing.
I hope this, I hope you liked this
video. And if you have any questions, leave them in the comments below. If you think of any other
sports that are interchangeable, leave them in the comments below as well. Make sure to click the like
