i have been testing a lot of package sets lately but this is the first time that i'm going to be testing anything from tor edge and this is the first time i'm going to be seeing these package sets so it really is going to be my first impressions on both the brand and what these sets are actually like before we get started though as usual if you are new to the channel and you want to see other videos related to this one then don't forget to subscribe and hit the bell notification just so you don't miss any of them coming in the future so the sets that we're going to be looking at today will include the tour edge bazooka 470 set the tour edge hl3 and the tour edge hl4 so i'm going to be putting these sets through a few tests later on in the video but to start with let's just see what the sets actually consist of and let's just take a look as tour edge as a brand in general so i wouldn't say that these sets would come across as being a top end of the range set when you put them up against the likes of the callaway and the tail made at 800 and a thousand pound for them but coming up between 500 to 700 pound for each of these it's not far behind them so keeping that in mind that's why i was quite surprised when i first took these out the box and i tried to stand them up on a slightly uneven ground they just wouldn't stand up on their own so unless the ground is completely flat and level the carp bags just won't seem to stand up in fact the overall condition of these sets just didn't strike me as being a more premium type of set and they're not actually the worst of it which you'll find out later on in the video what i'm talking about having said that though on tour edge's website they do offer a lifetime guarantee on their clubs and that is actually something really unique and just something you don't really see any other brands i can think of doing so if we take a look over the differences in these sets between the three that we're looking at today they all come included with a driver they all come with two fairway woods the bazooka and the hl4 all come with a four and a five hybrid but the hl3 only has the five hybrid and then in each they have a six to sand wedge in the iron set with the bazooka sandwich being a part of the eye insert and the other two having a more like a wedge wedge type of wedge and of course they all come included with a putter all three being a mallet style in fact the hl3 and hl4 both have the same wedge and putter now the actual styling of these sets more in particular the bazooka than anything else was really catching my eye but looking good is irrelevant if they don't actually perform well so we put these onto the monitor just to see how they compare up against each other so i hit a few shots with the sand wedge the seven iron and the driver from each one the hl3 which was in the graphite option did feel a bit whippy for me but it was actually still going all right to be fair the wedge from the hl3 and hl4 was just a lot nicer than it was in the bazooka set which is a shame that the bazooka set couldn't include that as well as it was just generating a lot more spin and i just felt a lot nicer and softer off the face now these are actually feeling as being probably one of the better package sets that i've tried now we're just taking a bit of a look over the drivers now this is the other thing that i mentioned before about the being something wrong with the quality of these and when i pulled off the cover to the hl3 driver i noticed something a bit unusual yeah that certainly isn't supposed to sound like that actually funnily enough just two days prior to me filming this i ordered in a left-handed sim2 driver for somebody and i took it straight out the box and straight out the original wrapper that it was in it's actually doing the exact same thing so it goes to show really that you can just get the one-off clubs which do it obviously you can't just exchange it for a new one that doesn't do that now these drivers are a bit shorter than what i'm used to so these drivers come in at 45 inches which is three and a quarter inches shorter than your typical off-the-shelf driver which is my excuse for hitting pretty much everything just slightly out of the toe as it wasn't used to the length of these but even with them coming out the toe slightly they were still feeling really good and same with the irons and the wedges they all felt really good to use but if we take a look over the numbers and just see exactly what's going on so looking at the seven irons now the hl4 is one degree stronger than the other two coming in at 31 degrees on the seven iron compared to 32 degrees on the other two which will explain why it does have a lot quicker ball speed coming off that and it is flying nine yards further on the carry other than that though everything was looking pretty similar to each other on these three irons and the spin numbers were pretty similar how you'd expect to see them compared to the lofts and the distances the height and descent angle were pretty much exactly the same even the dispersion was pretty much the same with the hl4 just spraying a bit further apart but that is probably because it was going a bit further but that actually was averaging a bit closer to the center line than the other two so with not much to choose between the seven irons i put them into my leaderboard of seven irons just to see how they can pair up against everything else now if these were all averaging zero offline they would have all been within half a point of each other so they really are that similar but for the fact that the hl3 and the bazooka were just going a bit further out to the right and averaging further offline than the hl4 that dropped the score quite a bit so the hl4 did top it so they don't really rank that well amongst all the other seven nines i've tested but this style of club never really seems to do too well on the leaderboard but i mean especially the hl4 it does place quite well amongst the other package sets that i've tried now they seem to lean a bit more towards a distance type of club rather than generating a bit more sperm but the dispersion side of it and everything else looks pretty good in relation to the other sets that i've tried now like with every other package set i did put these onto six holes around the brabson just to see how they compared up on that as this just gives a bit of a better idea of what they actually feel to play with and just a bit of an indication to how they actually perform before i do that though i think it's just quickly worth looking over the putters of these as i won't be using the putters on the monitor as it doesn't really pick it up properly now as i said before all three of these have a mallet style of putter which is a lot more forgiving and just a lot easier to use i don't really get why most package sets tend to lean more towards a blade style so it is nice to see that all these three are doing the mallet style putter now as i said before the hl3 and hl4 have the same putter just with the different text on it now they did feel a lot softer off the face compared to the bazooka but i personally actually prefer the look and the styling of the bazooka behind the ball and other than that there isn't really much else to pick between these they've got a slightly different grip as well but but pretty similar again and just be happy to know that if you did go for any of these sets you're going to get a good putter included with it but anyway when i do play these six holes on the brabzon and i must admit all three of these were really nice to play with and i just found them all really easy to use now i did find myself hitting a lot of approach shots here pretty close to the flag and the driver was pretty consistent as well i was finding that really easy to keep on the fairway now with package sets you usually find that the driver tends to be a bit too light and whippy and i do end up spraying it out to the right quite a lot but these are actually really easy to keep straight and they actually hit the bazooka driver on the 10th which is the drivable par four to within just a couple of feet and was just to tap in eagle and i also hit a few more closer shots with the bazooka set but i did get lucky a couple of times as i did just i think twice and it ended up quite near the flag twice to settle for birdie so it did get away with that a bit but it does just show how forgiving these sets actually are now the most notable thing that i noticed between these three sets was just how much further the hl4 irons would go in than the other two the drivers are all pretty much the same and all averaging the same sort of distance but the items are just flying with the hl4 so here you can see the final results from the six holes what did come out on top was the bazooka set and to be honest i think this would be the set that i would go for even out of all the other package sets i've tried i think if i was just starting out and i had a sort of 500 pound budget i think it would be a no-brainer that this would be the set that i was looking at if you take everything into account you're getting a lot of value for your money especially with the lifetime guarantee that's included as normal i would always recommend trying these out for yourself before you actually commit to a certain one and after a nervy start with these looking at the overall build of them and not really knowing too much about tor edge having now tried them i can safely say that these would be a solid set to go for and they can definitely compete with anything else on the market and on that note that is all for today so thanks for watching and i'll see you in the next one
