When to Have Your Clubs Refurbished vs. Replaced [intro music] >>Nick Jendrejeski: Perhaps your clubs just
aren’t providing the same pop they used to. Or maybe they just need a little TLC to have
them looking good again. Sooner or later you’ll have to decide whether
it’s time to hold onto your clubs or move on from them. Hi everyone, I’m Nick Jendrejeski, a DICK'S
Sporting Goods Associate, and I’m here to help you decide when you should refurbish
your clubs versus replacing them. >>Nick Jendrejeski: As a golfer, you’ve
probably grown attached to your clubs. But once they start showing their age with
a little wear and tear, you might start thinking about replacing them. If they’re still performing up to expectations,
though, then you’ll likely want to keep them in your bag.
That’s where refurbishing your clubs can
come into play, making them look brand new once again. >>Nick Jendrejeski: When it comes to refurbishing
your clubs, it’s often more about improving their overall look rather than their playability. If a standard cleaning won't do, refurbishing
your clubs can help restore them closer to their original, shiny state. And it can also touch up those little nicks
and dings that occur during a round. >>Nick Jendrejeski: As for when to completely
replace a club, several factors come into play. The most obvious is when the club breaks. If a club is broken, it’s broken. It might be hard to move on from it, especially
if it’s your favorite driver, but it’s time to add a new one to your bag. >>Nick Jendrejeski: And don’t overlook the
importance of technology in evaluating the performance of your clubs.
Each year, new advancements are being made
to improve how you play the game. Even If your clubs still look good and feel
good, they may be outdated simply because of new technology that’s been made available
in recent years. Playing with outdated clubs will likely lead
to lost yards on the course and extra strokes on your scorecard. >>Nick Jendrejeski: So, whether your clubs
need touched up after years of wear and tear or if you think it's time for a new set altogether,
schedule an appointment with your Certified Fitters at your local DICK'S Sporting Goods
or Golf Galaxy. They'll have your clubs looking like new again
or fit you with a new set that best matches your game. >>Nick Jendrejeski: Parting with a club isn’t
always easy. But knowing when to refurbish your clubs versus
when to replace them can help in your decision-making process and have you playing a better game.
