Correct Alignment Dear Golfers, your Golf Pro George here! Just a few hours before our departure from Crete Golf Course and I grab the opportunity in order for a last small video! My proposal today has to do with Alignment. We are all aware that Alignment is very important and that we should be careful that our clubface is directly behind the ball and in right angle to the target line. In this particular case this is the Ball to Target Line. So I must have the line through my toes, hips and shoulders, plus the line through my eyes parallel to the Ball to Target Line. A good idea is to lay two clubs on the ground, parallel to this line and two more like these ones exactly on the Ball to Target Line.

With these four grounded clubs, I have the opportunity very fast to have a great feeling of my Alignment and control my clubface through impact. How the clubface is coming to the ball… Often I can do a backswing and then stop through impact and control my clubface and its position before and through the ball continuing and completing my swing. Let’s hit a few balls for you! After a few shots we can see that my divots have made a line towards the target, parallel to the lines mentioned. That’s great and a good check point! That’s it ladies and gentleman! Good alignments are very important in golf. Often we may have mistakes or we do not feel comfortable because of bad alignments.

Have patience during training at the driving range, place a club on the ground, and check the lines of your shoulders, your eyes, your feet and how you have the clubface behind the ball. Also on the golf course place a club through your toes and have a look at your lines. Have fun during training, we stay here preparing our next video! Enjoy!.
