further delay let's get started with the list foreign on our list is the Garmin vivoactive
3 the Garmin Vivo active 3 is the company's third Smartwatch in the Vivo series and it fits in
between the vivoactive HR and the vivoactive 2 on our hierarchy of wearables Garmin has addressed
many of its predecessors shortcomings such as the short battery life and The Limited Garmin
pay compatibility however there are still some features we wish it had including more variety
and support for more third-party apps the watch's screen is bright and Vivid and its touch screen is
responsive and accurate the feature set is diverse including support for running swimming cycling and
yoga and a freed version of the Elevate risk-based heart rate monitoring system it also tracks sleep
and activity and has a Garmin pay contactless payment option although miiver Apple pay nor
Samsung pay is supported we like that Garmin has added stress monitoring although it still doesn't
have a built-in Optical heart rate sensor the battery life is good with about seven days between
charges comparable to the Garmin vivoactive 2.
The battery life can also be extended with garmin's
optional active extender which doubles the battery life to 13 hours but because Garmin hasn't put
an optical heart rate sensor in the vivoactive 3 it can't track your heart rate during workouts
for heart rate Based training zones it also lacks built-in music storage so if you can't listen to
music through the watch itself the vivoactive 3 has Garmin pay but it's limited to only certain
cards from participating Banks so be sure to check with your bank to make sure you can use
it this GPS watch is pricing but it's worth it foreign place is the golf buddy the golf buddy
am w11 combines the best aspects of other golf GPS watches we've researched including
a comprehensive course database clear colorful and responsive text display interface
and automatic brightness adjustment the device has a sturdy feel and heft and is easy to read
while swinging the auto brightness mode worked as advertised and there's no indication of
battery life on the screen or in the app the w11 has a bright full color touchscreen that
shows the golf Ball's distance and current pose as well as lots of helpful information
like your current Club distance average and maximum Club distances and your distance to
the hole it also has large easy to rid font and adjustable brightness settings
and pairs easily with a smartphone its green undulation feature also impressed and
combining it with the device's auto tracking feature makes for an even more accurate rate
of the green slope we would like to see a few more course options like a recent addition to
a course near our office though and we wish the w11 had a built-in speaker for listening to music
or podcasts on the course overall the golf buddy am w11 is an excellent value and performance
oriented option in a highly competitive field and number three we have skycaddy lx5 skycaddy
lx5 is an impressive GPS golf device that will appeal to Golfers at all levels the watch had
a responsive touchscreen and we like that a large bright display made it easy to read in
bright sunlight the GPS unit tracked our putts Fairways and greens accurately it automatically
compared our performance to other data we entered but driving distance score from rounds on other
courses making it easy to track your improvement over time it only took about 15 minutes to pair
to watch with my phone via Bluetooth and the 40 plus golf courses pre-loaded on the watch are well
chosen for beginning players like the Scott caddy s 400 the lx-5 has built-in Wi-Fi and it Sports a
display that shows your distance to Greens hazards and or approxima index front middle and back
of the green the Scott caddy app offers more functionality including the complete statistics
Suite a layup program an online handicap integration it also has a digital scorecard a
four day activity tracker and daily reminders to tell you when to water your grass take care
of the plants or feed your pet the Scott caddy lx-5 is waterproof up to 164 feet and it allows
you to upload courses from your desktop to your device its touch screen is large bright colorful
and responsive and it's scoring stats and Target lists are easy to view and change nevertheless
it's an excellent golf watch for its large bright and responsive touch screen accurate distances
quick upload of maps and selection of free courses foreign at number two the Garmin Approach at 62.
the Garmin approach s62 is noticeably faster and more accurate than its predecessor the s62 has
a larger display better battery life a faster processor and a more precise motion sensor but the
s62 is genuinely worth your money in its virtual caddy feature hit a button and say the name of
the club you want to hit and the virtual Caddy will suggest clubs based on the typical distance
the golfer hits that club factors in wind speed and direction and indicate where the golfers
should aim at the map the hazard view allows you to scroll through each Hazard on the Mac quickly
the pinpointer feature tells you the direction to the pin when you have a blind shot so you can
know where the pin is even if you can't see it it has more than 41 000 worldwide course view maps
which include detailed 3D views overall the s62's upgrades are significant it has a larger display
a better motion sensor and a larger battery and finally the number one on our list is the
Garmin approach s42 the Garmin approach s42 GPS Smartwatch gets high marks for its appearance
functionality and ease of use but it's expensive it's comfortable in might and the interchangeable
bands make it easy to change to suit your style or the weather you can quickly set the green Hazard
and dogling distances and view the entire hole on the large display it also comes with a putter
detecting sensor the s42 is the only GPS golf watch in our guide with a built-in battery which
means you don't have to carry around or charge a separate golf size battery the watch also has
an appealing design with bright vivid colors and a gleaming ceramic bezel however the watch only
tilts not swivels so it can be difficult to use in bright sunlight the watch comes with a small
base that attaches to the club instead of the wrist which can interfere with pudding the Garmin
approach S40 is a GPS Smartwatch designed with golfers in mind it has many of the features found
in garmin's regular Approach at 60 and approach s 20 watches but with a few golf specific features
like stroke tracking and scorecard memory the watch is attractive with a slim Sleek profile and
your choice of band including stainless steel the included golf belt clip makes it easy to attach
it to a belt or pant pocket but the approach S40 doesn't measure heart rate so you won't be
able to use garmin's health and fitness apps you will find all the links of these products
