welcome to the back the basics golf 10 part drill series this is the coin drill [Music] the coin drill another great way to test the quality of your strikes to make sure the ball is coming straight off the center of your putter face step one use a piece of double-sided sticky tape to attach a coin to the very center of your putter face it doesn't matter which coin just so it's not too much bigger than what the putter faces step two start hitting putts with the goal of striking the ball squarely at the coin if your stroke is proper and you hit the center of the face it will roll purely but if your ball is off the ball will shoot off track either to the left or to the right because of the raised edge of the coin this drill will immediately highlight any flaws and the precision of your striking
