Do you want to get easy rotation in the
golf downswing like that,  keep watching? When you do these moves
getting rotation in your downswing is  really easy in fact it is effortless. If
you have a look at the golf swing let's  start off with the backswing. First
thing will happen as I take the club  back I will get what's called left side bend.
So you'll see i've got this nice bit of  tilt on my shoulders pointing roughly
somewhere down some way down towards the  golf ball or just above it, so i've got
that tilt. Now as I make my  downswing I need to reverse those
positions around that left shoulder is  low as I make my downswing
I need to get that right shoulder low.  Now for you to make an effortless, easy
rotation in your golf downswing so when you need  to do two moves.

And these are bending
moves and i'll show you this from a  couple of different angles. So i'm
standing over the ball here  first thing you need to do
is you need to bend down  down towards the golf ball and you'll
see as i do that  i get rotation
without even thinking about it just  happens naturally
the second part of this  is getting right side bend so i talked
about that left side bend in the back so  when you need to get
right side bend and that's where this  right shoulder feels
lower to the ground at impact  so
from here we go  we're bending straight down and then
right side bend  and when you look at the the down swing
like that rotation becomes effortless  it's
just happens as a natural consequence of  just doing those two moves so from face
on  we make our back swing
we bend down  right side bend
okay towards the camera  got our back swing
we bend down  right side bend
two moves that make rotation your golf  swing super easy where most golfers go
wrong when it comes to rotation the  downswing they typically will get to the
top  and they'll just turn their upper body
and they miss out that forward bend  stage of the golf swing so if you can
imagine  this golf ball is on the ground now if i
go to the top  and i just turn my upper body the only
way i can get this club down to the ball  is to extend my arms use a lot of hand
and arm movement  to flip at the golf ball now if i turn
just like this it's going to bring the  club from the outside a lot of the time
or most of the time  you'll have an outside in swing path hit
a lot of slices a lot of pulls  and you just will not be consistent you
might hit the odd good shot or even have  the odd good round but you'll never
truly be a consistently good golfer so  this might it might even work
in the principle when you're talking  about baseball for example whereas the
ball is coming at you from up there  rotating like that is fine because
that's where our golf ball that's where  the baseball is and you can strike it
but our golf ball  is on the ground so rotating
just like this on its own  will not do you any good you need that
forward bend  we need that forward bend
and then the right side bend  to deliver that club down to the golf
ball and when you do that  that's where consistent golf comes in
that's where you start shallowing it and  that's where you can start
middling the golf ball a lot more  consistently here's a drill you can
practice to improve your  rotation in your downswing and i think
when you practice this and get really  good at it this is going to be a real
aha moment in your golf swing because  you're not going to
be standing up you're not having to  extend your arms to get the golf ball
you're not going to be hitting a lot of  those thin shots or toe shots or big
slices  you're going to find yourself
coming down to impact like this  and striking the golf ball a lot more
consistent now  this works for irons drivers hybrids
fairway woods  works for every club in the bag so
let me show you an easy drill i'm just  going to do this in stages  you're going to be going to the top of
the back swing  we're going to pause here that forward
bend and you're going to do a couple of  pumps
then you're going to do right side bend  and strike the golf ball so that's the
progression i want you to do and this  will embed this into your body so
let's do one  i'm gonna go to the top
forward bend a couple of pumps  and through
that's a drill i want you to practice as  often as you can because
this will build the movement patterns  into your golf swing
you'll find you'll start striking the  golf ball a lot more consistently and
you won't be  you might be standing up like this and
really having to extend  to hit the golf ball
so all it is  forward bend
right side bend  two things you need to remember it's
going to improve your ball striking out  of sight now important video for you
coming up i want you to watch because  this is talking about  how to stop standing up in the golf
downswing  goes into a bit more detail but you
combine this video with that one you're  going to play some fantastic golf so
i'll see you on it it's coming up.
