Welcome back to my YouTube
channel. I'm coach Shayain. Today. We're going to talk about
numbers and don't panic. If you weren't good in math, I know a lot of people have been
in the comments mentioning, okay, you taught us how many clubs
we needed in our bag 14. You taught us what those clubs and
when you should use them. Perfect. We now have gone to the driving
range for the first time.
So we have confidence there,
but on the golf course, you're panicking with your yardage. When to pull out that specific
club for your golf game today, I'll tell you what my
numbers or my yardage looks like. Let's get started. [Inaudible]. Step number one, you have to go to the driving range and hit balls. Starting from your pitching, wedge to your irons. Whatever the highest iron you
have is it's a five to five.
What we need to do is
find the average of your yardage. Now the trick is it's
not the total distance, including the role. You want
to find out what your carry is. Hey, so pitching was, what is
your carry? Seven iron six, iron all your items. If it's very hard for you to
see that as the driving range, sometimes it might be
beneficial for you to go with, to a golf town or a simulator
where it tells you your yardage or get a lesson. And if they have a track man or
something to track what your yard is, looks like, that will be helpful.
That might alleviate a lot of
the stress and the tension. But if you don't have the means to do
it, the driving range works for you. Step one, to go to the driving range,
get the average of your pitching, wedge all the way to your irons. And I will explain what
mine are in just a minute. Step two, you have done your homework. You've written down what your average
is for each one of those clubs. You then come to a golf course. I recommend a pitch and putt
or an executive golf course, something that's small, which will help you understand where
the yardage is from the driving range, correct into the golf course.
So you've brought it to real life.
Are those numbers still
same? Or are they incorrect? Then we need to do some
tweaking. Step number three, you need to make sure that
it's the carry and not the total distance, which is
what everybody wants to know. Oh, I drove that ball 250 yards, but your carry might've been 200
yards and just rolled forever. So we're for the carry. And why
do we need to know the carry? So you are at a par three. It is 150 yards. And to the middle of the green, sorry. And there is a bunker in
the front of the green. Now, if your ball does
not carry 150 yards, it only carries 130 guess where
you're going to be in the bunker or as it's in golf, you'll be going to the
beach and you don't want to do that. So that's why the carry
is very, very important. There might be a Lake or a hazard,
whatever it is, that's what it is.
So step one, driving rain, get the average step to test
it out onto the golf course. I recommend the smallest course. So
you build your confidence. Step three, make sure that it's the Cary
and not the total yardage. So for prime example, these are my numbers
and I didn't fail math. So my pitching wedge goes 100 yards, nine iron one, 10, eight 27, one 36, one 45, one 50. And those are Mike Harry yards. Some days it might be
a couple yards short. Some days it might be a couple of yards
longer. That is a much bigger topic. We'll talk about another day because
weather matters where you catch it in the club based matters.
And that's too much detail for
what we're trying to do today. So these are my numbers and I highly
recommend take a piece of paper to the driving range. If you already haven't clicked below
and gone and downloaded my gaps document, let's go do that.
And then on the back of that, right? What your averages are. I hope that helped if it's complicated
and if you fail to map or numbers or just scaring, you leave your questions in the comments
below as this was one of the questions from a subscriber that I'm answering
today. I promised that person, I would do it in the next video.
And here I am.
So comments below. If you have any other topics you
want me to cover or you're, you know, I'm not covering something you really, really want to make sure
you write it down below. I know you've already subscribed by
now, but make sure you click the button. You see. No..
