if you've ever had to watch your golf club head go further down the fairway than your ball, then you'll be glad to know that there's a pretty easy way to fix it yourself at home and it only takes a few minutes, so if the shaft clears from the head you will have no problem putting it back on although your clubbed looks like the shaft is snapped right at the end of the hosel then you'll need a bit more for that so I'll save that for another video so today i'm going to show you how you can simply glue the shaft back into the head basically the same way they do with the manufacturers and it may sound silly but all you need to do this is some glue, epoxy glue to be exact, epoxy glue comes in different shapes and sizes different brands but the best brand I can find is the araldite one and I'll disconnect some in the description if you just want to make sure you're getting the right ng basically just one side hardener and one side resin and they mix together, to they made a really strong bond and that's literally all you need for it , i tend to just use it most of the time and never seen any problems the head never comes back and just a disclaimer that i can't guarantee 100 even if it doesn't fly again , because that's obviously okay, so the glue they used has already happened, you know what I mean, I don't guarantee it 100, but I guarantee it 99 , if you don't make it more secure, even if we want to put your mind at ease, you can get some of these things that are golf shaft beads and basically when you put it in the head it expands and it just becomes more secure, it's basically like putting filler in a wall to fill all the holes or whatever once you put it in and it will set and expand and fill all the gaps you can also use some sand paper it won't hold better but it just makes your life a little easier by putting the shaft back in the head so i'll show you how easy it actually is so if the head higher la from the shaft and you should have something that looks like this you should find that the sleeve will still be on the shaft now the sleeve is n't really necessary you don't need all that it does it's just there for aesthetics so basically it doesn't hold anything on it in place, it basically just covers the glue that comes out at the bottom of the head when it goes on the shaft, it doesn't matter if it's not there or not, if the sleeve is stuck, then you might have to move it and what you'll have to do is just pour some hot boiling water or if you have a heat gun just heat it slightly on a low setting until it's hot enough to slide it up and down so now we have the sleeve out of the way we're going to clean the end of the shaft before we put it in the head and also we need to clean the inside of the head to make sure it will hold properly once it goes back in so if you just grab a screwdriver or something just to clean the inside of the shaft if you can't clean it properly and some of the glue the la comes loose when it's in the shaft, that's when you hear it rattle up and down the shaft, so once you've cleaned the shaft you can go ahead and clean the inside of the head again just to get rid of any big chunks of glue that might interfere when you're gluing the shaft back in and once you've cleaned the inside of the shaft and the inside of the head I use sandpaper so if you don't have sandpaper you can do the same with a screwdriver or a knife or something just to scrape off any bits of dry glue that might be on the shaft and there they stuck so it's much easier to use a bit of paper just to sand it down and you can also sand the tip jus When you add the glue add a bit more friction be careful not to squeal too much so it will be down where the socket will sit because then it will obviously show up on your shaft It doesn't look very good so once you find that the shaft fits pretty smoothly and there are no real big chunks of glue you can still m ing when you're ready to pop the shaft back into the head and you should find it's pretty snug anyway, but all we have to do is add some glue to it, so I'll just take my two-part epoxy, my owl dies, and I just a little I'm going to spray on the scrap that I'm laying around just to mix it because I say this kind of glue has to be mixed together and once it's there then I can mix it on the shaft so just cover the bottom of the shaft there as much as possible, the better, and if you take some shaft beads, then that's a good time to add some of that and just mix tha Around into the glue and onto the shaft, then I'll just take the head that I'm gluing back and just pour the glue into the bottom like this and then again if you want to use some beads you can go ahead and just add some to the bottom of the head once you've glued it there and glued it on the shaft then it's time to glue them on and if you have a handle with a logo on it and you need it in a certain way , then you can do with it worries but just start with the header and as you can see it will rotate really easily so once you have it all the way down if you can that's when you want to worry about lining it up right so if I were to line it up now I'd go forward and got it on the floor, if you put the line in a straight line on the floor, it'll probably be easier and then they just line the grip line straight to the bottom of the shaft and once I'm lined up correctly I can just p Ut my sleeve all the way down, as you can see it's going to leave a little bit of a mess so it's an idea to say that and just give it just a little wipe I'm going to leave it for oh I'm going to leave it overnight pretty quick drying glue I think it says like five minutes in the park or something, but I always like to just leave it overnight to be on the safe side and just make sure the collar is secured to the bottom of the head because you don't really want to lift it, it's just a little annoying I say that it doesn't make any difference is just annoying wat on the glue it will hold it in place too but just make sure the head is as far as it will go you can even tap the floor a bit and then that's pretty much all there is to it and just make sure that you let it dry long enough which is probably the best thing you do I just keep it upright so the shaft pressure goes down to the bottom of the head and yeah so All done I left it overnight and it's as good as new so you you can clean up a bit around the socket once it's done just a bit of fairy liquid a bit of washing up I actually did this with a whole set of shafts where the shafts are actually too small for the head they are a different size but still managed to fit them and I've been using them for about two or three years and they've never come off once and nothing has gone wrong with them, so I'd say I'm not 100% guaranteed, but 99% it's going to be safe, let's just say that's pretty much what any pro shop will do , it's what the manufacturers do, and that's all e so that's part of it so thanks for watching the video if you can give us a thumbs up that would be great maybe also a subscribe button trying to support my 11 subscribers that would be greatly appreciated but thanks for watching and seeing in the next
