Hi, my name is Aimee. Today, I'm going to talk about the rhythm of the golf swing. I don't know what your golf swing looks like. But if we give it a good rhythm, it actually looks great. With a good rhythm, your shots will become more consistent. Come on with us and give you a really good rhythm. At the beginning of the swing rhythm, people tend to go into the rhythm with a slightly faster tendency to go into the rhythm like this for two counts, one, two. Usually, other people enter the rhythm and go into the rhythm like this for three counts, one, two, three for both. correct. However, the most common rhythms we see on golf courses are slightly different. What we usually see is this, one, two. You lift the club, yank it down and don't stop. That's what we see all the time on the golf course. That is wrong. There are two problems with that rhythm. One is you don't hit the ball with your body but your arms and the second is too fast I mean you see pros on TV and they swing very fast.

But the most important thing is that they actually use their own body to retract it, then use their own strength to lower it, and then their hands follow the lead of the body. When the body changes direction, the hand appears to stop at the top. Nothing ever stops completely. You are always exercising. It's just that the hands seem to stop because they follow the lead of the body. So whether you have a double or triple rhythm, everyone pauses at the top. If your swing speed is fast and your rhythm is two beats, then your pause at the top of the swing will be very short compared to someone with a slower swing and a longer pause at the top of the swing but please It must be remembered that you must pause at the top. Well, in order to stop at the top, you have to swing with your body and not hit the ball with your arms.

If you're not sure if you're using your body correctly or if you're jerking down with your arms, I have a simple test you can try. All you have to do is get your golf ball ready , start counting to three when you hit the top of your swing, and hit the ball as hard as you can, like this. Hit the ball! 1 2 3 So if you use your body properly like I do, what does it do? You don't have any problem swinging up to the top doing a down stop and then swinging down and hitting the ball like you always do But if you're actually hitting the ball with your arms, it's hard to pause at the top of the swing. You feel like you're holding too tightly, right? So if you can fix that and realize that you're hitting the ball with your arms, I've prepared a simple exercise so that I can get your arms to relax and let you swing more with your body so that we can Keep the rhythm.

It's called a step drill. All you have to do is get your golf ball ready, step in with your left foot, so your feet are a little further apart. You're going to come back, don't do anything, just move your left foot back to where it was, walk like this, and then you're going to swing with your hips instead of your hands. Look! You will turn, take a step, and turn your hips. like that. You have to pay attention when you take a step. People tend to do this when you take a step. You don't need to move your hands at all. You just plant your left foot and turn your hips. Once you're comfortable with your footwork, move on to swing and hit the ball. Okay, so you turn, pause, turn around. To keep the rhythm, you have to remember two things. The first is that you cannot hit the ball with your arms. You have to hit the ball with your body. The second is that you have to do the stops at the top If you remember these two things, your rhythm will be fantastic.
