Hello everyone, today you will see how I install a clutch kit on an engine. First, we need to properly clean the clutch surfaces for any grease and dirt. for that you can use a brake cleaner install the flywheel install the 6 bolts to hold it in place note* – i use the driver just to rush the install process, DO NOT tighten the bolts with the impact driver now we need to torque the bolts at 60 NM followed by 90 degrees turn first step 60 NM and 90 degrees turn… to avoid any issues mark the every bolt after he's done install the CLUTCH ALIGNMENT TOOL then the clutch disc… and the pressure plate install the 6 bolts to hold it in place note* – same as flywheel bolts, just use the driver to put them in place, DO NOT tighten them with the impact as you will damage the bolts thread after all 6 bolts are installed, you need to tighten them BY HAND in place one by one as you see in video, try to use same pattern as you see in video DO NOT fully tight one bolt strayght away as you may risk to damage the pressure plate just few turns each one until the bolts are fully engaged after that you can torque them…
now we need to torque them… in m y case (1.9 tdi) they have 2 types of bolts M6 and M7, M6 torque is 13 NM and M7 torque is 20 NM torque them one by one at specified torque (in my case M7 is 20 NM) to avoid any issues try do use the same tight order as you see in the video and mark every bolt after you've done it. pull out the alignment tool… and you're done….
