Driver Part 2 Swing Hi everyone, we're going to cover the driver backswing and as I mentioned earlier correct stance is very important and one of the mistakes I find my students make is when they use Drivers tend to swing a little bit to the right on the backswing which actually makes them farther away from the ball so sometimes it causes you to hit the back of the ball and if you overdo it you hit the top of the ball okay I see Another mistake is leaning too much on the left side of the body which causes you to hit too deep and it bounces the ball up in the air see so it's very important to keep our stability and our turns nice to have a nice backswing is very The important thing is that we get the swing right, right? Again, is this a standard stance? When I do the backswing with my feet toes forward, I make sure my arms are extended, from my torso Stretch out understand? When the club is backswing we can't let it go up immediately we can't let it go too flat, okay, make sure I'm getting the right takeoff and then I'm going to make sure I'm turning my hips and chest and making sure I'm doing a full Twisting for great top position is that okay when we do the swivel backswing to the top we see our head is a little bit behind the ball and we have to make sure the position of the head is not over the ball even in the Front of the ball, okay? A great takeoff is arms outstretched to make sure my chest starts to turn, okay? My left knee will move in and down a little bit just make sure it doesn't collapse all over me Lean your body to the left to the top of the bar and you will find that there will be some gravity on the right heel, right? It's not 100 % of the gravity on the right heel but you can put 55% of the gravity on the left side, 45% on the right side or 50% on each side is also ok when you get to the top of your backswing you feel a little more gravity on your right heel, right? That's the ideal stance on the backswing It's very important to make sure you're doing a full twist right so you can create more momentum for the downswing Now let's do the downswing as I come up to the top When I'm in position I want you to start the downswing with your left hip and move a little bit to the left or nudge so my body stays upside down and the ball hits my head where it's always behind the ball For the stroke our left hip should go back and my chest starts to face the target with my left arm straight and our shaft not forward or back so we don't press on the ball just make sure the driver Going back to where it was set hips and chest facing the target, okay? At all times we have to make sure our left hand is extended from the chest but the elbow might be slightly bent at impact, see ? Ball position after impact I have to make sure my arms are fully extended from my chest to make sure I'm fully rotated around my spine so the clubface stays square and the action looks like this shot position around my Body rotation keeps the clubface square As we get to this delivery position we all want to have a nice finish right so from here we have to make sure our left side has almost 80% of the gravity and continues to wrap around us The spine rotates until our left leg is at 100% and our right foot is turned just right to make sure you're balanced on the finish if you want to check that the left side is at 100 % try lifting up a little bit Right foot just tap down if you see yourself stepping back after lifting your right foot it means your weight is not fully on your left foot is it ok like I mentioned before keep your foot in check Swing is a very important thing if you are struggling with your swing and are always out of control and out of balance you can adjust your swing speed to 70% of your normal speed and see what happens number one Wood stance 1.
The top of the ball is half a ball higher than the No. 1 wood 2. The ball is inside the left heel 3. Tilting to the right 4. Gravity is 50:50 1. Straighten your arms when you take off the shot 2. Rotate on driver tilt axis 3. Gently push/move left hip to initiate downswing 4. Straighten left arm at impact, aligned with shaft 5. Also feed through driver tilt axis 6. Finish & Well shaped, that's all I've shared with you about the driver Make sure you're always hitting the ball with a square face and good rhythm on the ideal swing plane Of course, always hit Sweet spot I hope this video helps you guys hit more fairways and put the ball where you want it to be if you guys like this video please give me a thumbs up if you have any questions please drop me a line of course Remember to subscribe to my channel Thank you all very much we will see you soon thank you.
