Hey everybody. Terry Bradley here again, SimpleSwingThoughts.com,
and this short video's going to talk about your head position, in terms of your grip
and your posture putting you automatically in the right position. Now, I know a lot of you, one of your golf
swing tips is to keep your head down and people say, "Hey, keep your head down, keep your
head down," and that's half-way true. What we want to do is we want to make sure
that we keep our head behind the ball, OK? Now, what's the difference? Well, the difference is when you address the
ball with your grip and your posture and you come back on the back swing, when you come
through the ball, you always want to make sure your head stays behind the ball because
when you hit the ball, your head's going to naturally come up, OK? It's going to naturally come up.
So as you come through here, if you keep your
head down, then your center of gravity would throw you this way, OK? But as you're coming through the ball with
your head behind the ball, at impact, when you hit the ball, your head naturally comes
up towards your target line, OK? So there is a difference. Again, if you keep your head down too long,
it could throw your center of gravity off your spine angle line. But as you're over the ball, as you come back,
as I come through the ball, as my head stays right here behind the ball, OK, as you notice–
everything else clears like we talked about in the other videos; everything else clears
automatically and then when you hit the ball at impact, your head stays behind the ball
and then it comes up toward the target line.
OK, so that's the difference, OK? As long as your head is behind the ball at
impact with the correct grip and posture, then you're fine, OK? My name's Terry and I'll see you on the next
video..
