– Hello, and thanks so much for tuning in. Do you find yourself struggling
with creating consistency and the different types of golf
shots you have to make when you're playing around? Do you find yourself slowing
down decelerating in hopes of creating shot and distance control? Do you find yourself trying to
control your short game shots by scooping or using your
hands and rest of it too much? Fear not, in this video
we're gonna provide you with some simple and easy to
remember swing cues that will allow you to better execute
no matter the shot type. Okay, so as we know, most golfers are pretty
familiar with what a full swing looks like at least a little bit, and have a good handle on
trying to execute that.
Now, many of the challenges
for a lot of golfers, particularly newer and
beginning golfers comes into play when varying
distances and needed links come into play. When there's a need for a
shorter link shot, many golfers because they may not know
that or understand kind of the principles of the golf swing, they'll do what we call decelerate. You know, they're taking a big swing, but the ball may only
need to go 10, 15 yards, or maybe, you know, 30 or 40 yards, whatever the case may be, a shorter shot.
And instead of taking and
understanding a good solid golf swing for that appropriate distance, what they're doing is going
to take the full swing and try to slow down or
what we call decelerate. And that can lead to a bunch of problems, namely inconsistency, topping the ball, all kinds of things that we don't want. So here today, let's
learn a few simple cues that are gonna help you
get much better shots no matter the shot length.

time that our channel releases a new video thanks. How can we create more
consistent and appropriate shots without getting too complicated
and keeping things simple? We're going to use three very simple and straightforward swing
cues that are gonna help you really improve your shot making. The first one will be for
those shortest of shots, and we wanna just simply
use what we hit right here, our knees, we're gonna
call this one knee to knee. We're gonna use that on those
chip shots where we just need the ball to go the
shortest of distances, right? If we use our knees as kind of
our guideposts, if you will, we will be able to, one maintain
tempo and rhythm and not decelerate which is the
death of many golf shots. So that would look just like this, knee to knee.
Let's do it again, knee to knee. You notice I'm using
again my knees as kind of guidepost, my back swing
doesn't go much higher than my knee and my down
and through swing doesn't go much further than my lead knee. So that is the knee to
knee for our shorter shots. Now for that awesome pitch shot, we've got to go a little bit
farther than knee to knee but not so much as a full swing, right? So here, we're gonna use
our hips as a guide post. So here let's just say I
was getting ready to hit that awesome pitch shot,
you notice am gonna rotate, I'm gonna go just about hip height. And back to hip height, notice
here with my through swing backswing here, hip to hip. That's number two. And last, but certainly not least, we have our full swing, your full swing over time may evolve and may go well beyond your shoulder. But for now, as we work
on creating consistency, let's focus on using our
shoulders as our guide. So, we've had knee to knee, hip to hip, and now we're going shoulder
to shoulder for a good even tempo and consistent full swing.
Notice, I'll do that again. My back swing, it's topping
out right above my shoulders, I'm coming on down and through and finishing here facing my target. Knee to knee, hip to
hip shoulder to shoulder implementing those three swing
cues will help you create more consistency and better
shot-making out on the course. See you in the next video..
