Hey Guys, hello to all, hello to all, Edouard Montaz director
of education for Wisdomingolf in Europe. How are you?
First of all I would like to apologize because I was not there for
a short time A period when I had a lot
of students, a lot of classes, a lot of things to prepare.
Today I come back with a series of videos that I hope will
please you and help you, and will allow you to take
your Golf to the next level. First of all I would also like
to thank you, a month ago there was the French Golf Open.
Where I was lucky enough to be invited.
I was able to do some click and demo there.
I met some of you, who were very nice to
me, who told me that you like the work we do with Shawm.
It was a
great pleasure. We shared 4 really
nice days, I want to tell you that I 'm coming back in September with some
nice surprises. So stay connected. Today, I present to you
a very very important video. To make you understand
once and for all my vision and the vision we have with Shawm of the perfect Swing!
You should know that there is no perfect swing and automatic swing.
Just because you find a technical key that works one or
two days in a row doesn't mean you're going to find the perfect swing.
And then all you have to do is
go out on the course and put read on so the swing works every
time. Unfortunately, that's
not how your central nervous system works!
In the 80s video analysis arrived and made golf mechanical
and robotic but thanks to the latest brain research.
It has been discovered that for a beginner like a professional player the
brain must return to zero with each new golf shot.
When you have a golf shot to play you always have a different lie
(where the ball lies), you can be in the rough or on the fairway.
I had a different club that weighs a different weight, you have a
different visual, it's not the same visual if you hold a 3 wood or a 7 iron,
a different sound, a different trajectory.
Your brain therefore needs
to get all its information to be able to play the move you have to
play. Don't fight with
technique and tell yourself that if you have a perfect swing it will work for life because there is one
perfect swing for every golf shot you play !
[Ha ha] The way to get that
perfect swing is to always have a target and a feel that goes with that target.
We will come back to this on other videos.
I'll give you one last analogy before getting down to business
; a pastry chef making a Brownie. If you have ever made
Brownies, you have noticed that the difference between a pastry chef and you, for example,
is the time you take to make the brownie.
For the pastry chef as for you, it is always necessary to put flour,
put eggs, all the necessary ingredients and put the oven at the right temperature
to make the recipe.
The difference between him and
you is the time he will take to do it.
So we come to the focus sequence.
For those of you who already have my DVD, you can clearly see
what I'm talking about and for those who have n't yet, here's a little summary of what
it is. There are 5 steps to follow to
make a golf shot and even when you train at the driving ranges.
The first step: what am I aiming for?, where do I want my ball to go
? Second thing to know. What
is the trajectory I want my ball to take to reach this target.
In other words, is it more of a fade or a draw? Rather low or high?
You should see an image. The second step is to understand
that once you have seen your image and your set up matches the image.
It is to know, am I well aligned to reach my target?
Is my ball well placed in my stance to produce the trajectory I want
? Third step is
to know what is the feeling that I want to send to this target?
You now know the fundamental difference between a release to the ground
and a nice release to the target.
I will come very soon
with lots of videos to make you feel sensations.
The fourth step which is very important! What do you want
in the way? Once you have
organized yourself to hit this Golf shot, that your setup sticks with the image, you can
therefore go for the feeling you are looking for, that is to say this beautiful release.
And the last thing you want in the way? That is to say, do
you want the ball in the way? The ball and the grass in the way; the ball,
the grass and the ground in the path; the ball and the ROFF; the ball and the top of the tee for
a drive.
Finally the last step, you
deliver your action towards the target, you send the feeling of release and you observe.
So this is the perfect ritual in my eyes to play a golf shot
When a good golf player like Jason Dufner, who has just won the USPGA,
is in what is called the zone, he delivers his action towards the target and that
's how the brain works. If you don't have a
clear picture and feel to deliver to her; you can't play
golf consistently. Unfortunately for some of
you who haven't seen my work yet, you've gotten into the habit for all
these years of aiming for a target, you line up perfectly towards that spot.
And once you're perfectly aligned, tap to that spot.
From the moment you think about hitting the ball, you are no longer
on the target and therefore you create an action towards the ground.
And when you create action to the ground, you know how
painful golf can be.
I wanted to give you my
overall vision of what I think of the perfect swing and the automatic swing
If I tell you this it's because I was able to experience it,
I also went to practices hours and hours and watching
the swings and telling myself I want exactly to the millimeter to reproduce the swing of
Tiger or other players. And to try in vain to reproduce
that on the course and unfortunately that led me to suffering.
All these beautiful positions are only the result of a focus, of an
image. An image towards a target of a sensation towards it.
I'm coming right away with videos that will be able to describe each
stage of the focus, so that you can understand them, see you right away.
