I have done something really crazy. She would probably kill me if she found
out. In this video i'm gonna compare one
length irons to standard length irons. What irons do i
play better with? I am a high handicapper and I have played
standard length irons for 12 years. So i'm gonna switch to these for three
complete rounds, and we're gonna watch all the stats and see if i play better with. One length or with standard length,

one season. That's two sets in one season, which is
completely crazy, I know. But i came across the Cobra F9
one length irons at a good price. I love this, oh look at that.

Ah there we are, it is now official I am a one length player.

What is one length irons?
Well one length irons has the same shaft length for all your irons
in your set. and the shaft length is the same as your
standard 7 iron. Because 7 irons, you probably hit
your 7 iron better than most other irons so they
have put the shaft that is easier to hit in all
the clubs. So they are the same length, it's easier.
So that is one length irons, so let's see how I play them. So i'm back at home
looking at my last rounds with the Callaway Mavrik Max which is my
regular irons, before i started playing three rounds with my new one length
irons. So let's look at the best round I shot
ever with my Callaway Mavrik Max which has been custom-made to me
this season. The best round i had on a par 68
was a hundred and one, 101 that's my record.
That's my all-time record actually, which is pretty good.
That was a great
great round. But before that it was a 105, 107.
So I've been struggling a little bit. But let's look at how it went
with the three rounds I had with the one length irons.
The first one length round I had at this par 68,
I shot a 113. 113, i thought I was gonna die.
That went worse than expected, but it was the first round with the one length,
so i wasn't kind of used to the first of all the distances of these
clubs. Because the the ball flew
past the green a lot because i wasn't used to the length they
were giving me so i had another round
and i was a little bit better with a hundred
and ten, still not perfect but i loved playing with the irons and i
got accustomed to the length they were
giving me and then i had a round, the last of the three rounds where i shot…
87, I shot 87. I broke 100, I broke 90
and it felt good, it felt amazing and everything was good
so let's kick it up a notch, here's the rest of the video.
They are so easy to hit it's like butter
so how are they compared to my callaway maverick max
well first of all these have graphite shafts with the
regular flex and my Mavrik Max have a stiffer shaft a stiffer steel
shaft so of course there's a difference in
feel but besides that i find that playing
one length irons it's so much easier because i have the same setup for every
iron in the bag so my ball is placed in the same
spot between my legs at every shot which makes it more consistent
and easier for me to do the right setup the first round i did
with the one length irons was not good but then i started getting it i
started to hit better with and more consistent with
the one length irons so i did something i've never done
before in my golfing career which has been 12 years as a high
handicap golfer i played the same round with
from start to finish with the same ball so the same ball
i never lost it so i gotta say they are magical i i
love the one length irons and to be honest i'm gonna
keep playing them um i think i think so i think i'm gonna
play them for a little longer at least no to be
honest i'm gonna keep them but just don't tell my girlfriend that i
bought another set of irons this season she's gonna kill me so
