Hi, welcome back. I'm Coach Shayain. We are going to talk about how
American football relates to golf. I know there's a lot of young
people out there that think golf. Isn't very boring and it's
slow. And it's for old people, but I'm here to show you how
different sports translate into golf and how they're
interchangeable. So for example, you'll watch me throw spirals down dad, this metal pole over here, and then I'll show you how
football and the hip movement, how that relates to golf.
So let's get started. Over here. Here. We have the American football. We're going to talk about how to generate
power through the thrusting of the hips. But at the same time, you have to keep in mind that
you start just, I can golf. You're starting this way and
your hips finished towards the target.
So where am I trying to
throw the ball down the middle? My hips need to finish that way. So if you watch slowly
and focus, so here we go, I've received the ball. I'm getting stable
facing this way and bring you my hand back. Once I bring it
back, just like we do in our swing, we're powering our back legs. So I'm powering my back leg and I'm
going to thrust my hips forward with my belly button facing the target.
So let's see it all in action. Now ball, get my back foot stable, thrust my hips forward, not a bad throw. So you just watch me throw the
football with the hip thrust and my belly button finishing
to face the target. Now let's correlate that to how
does that make sense to golf? So like I told you with the football,
I had it back here, stacked up, powering my back leg.
And then I
was really seeing through my hips, my hands followed and my
belly button faced the target. So let's try it and golf. So I have a little pitching wedge here. I have my grip. The
only difference is in golf. You can't move around with your feet. Like you can't move your left
foot and do too much with it. So it's all about stacking your right
foot and releasing your hips towards the target.
So here we go. Nice and relaxed stack
my right foot release towards the target with my
belly button facing where I'm trying to go. That's show you another one. So I'm back here. Nice and relaxed sack. My back leg release. My hips, thrust. Belly button facing the target.
Let's show you one more. Let's show you a fancy dancy, pink. I'm nice and relaxed. When the stack, my back leg. Stop release and the ball just landed. Dead straight, or you just seen me
swing the golf club and just like that, just like I just swung my hips and
I'm stacking my back leg and I'm going to thrust my hips forward and my belly
button finishing toward the target.
My belly button doesn't stay back
and I don't lean this way. Okay. So I have the ball I'm
nice and stable, uh, powering my back leg to
generate some strength With my belly button, finishing
towards the target, generate back here, thrust the hips. Forward and. Belly button finishing towards
the target there. We have it. I know you think that golf is slow. It's
boring. It's for old people. It's not. I'm here to show you the correlation
between football and how, if you can throw a football, you can 100% swing a golf club
with the same concept of thrusting your hips forward and your
belly button facing the target, stacking your back leg. Right? I hope you enjoyed this video and. And let me see your spirals with the
football or you're pitching wide shots. Um, uh, my Instagram is at coach Cheyenne. So make sure to tag me on that. And if you have any questions as always
