Golf is a sport played by millions across
the world which requires hours of practice, perfected form, and LOTS of patience. A single mistake or misread during your game
can cost you a stroke or penalty. Super Stickman Golf 2 by Noodlecake Studios
is no different as players must measure precisely the angle and power of their shot in order
to hit the golf ball into the hole. Well, perhaps it's a little different… Anyway, the overall goal is to hit the ball
in to the hole in the least amount of attempts and accumulate the lowest score possible across
9 holes, but keep in mind though, this is no easy task. The courses are dynamic with challenging fairways
and tough obstacles. It evolves into a strategy and puzzle game
based on physics as you determine shot direction and target tiny gaps, sticky walls, rotating
blocks and moving landscapes, all while avoiding pitfalls, water hazards, and lasers… yep, I said it…Lasers. You collect perks along the way that can make
the game more forgiving.
The first of which is the use of 7 mulligans
per course. These provide the player with another chance
to hit the ball where you left off without penalty. There are three game modes: There's your standard
single player outing, a turn-based multiplayer mode and another multiplayer mode referred
to as Race Mode. In Race Mode, you play against up to three
other people either locally via WiFi or across the world. The goal here is to hit the ball into the
hole before you opponents do. All this is performed in real time. It doesn’t matter how you do it or how many
strokes you take, you've just got to get it in the hole before anyone else does. The controls are very straight forward.
You use the on-screen arrows to change the
angle of your swing, you press the “Go!” button to display a moving meter which controls
your swing power and you tap once again to select the desired power and hit the ball. The timing here is very important. Although the first round is fairly simply,
courses become hard, very, very quickly. Aside from being ranked based on your performance,
completing courses earns you experience points. These allow the player to level up and unlock
new stages. Each of the levels contains bonus cash to
collect which can be used to unlock character enhancements and perks to use during the game. All the features seem to make up for a flawless
mobile experience. By combining easy controls, challenging gameplay,
multiplayer, and loads of bonus objectives and items to unlock, it takes no time for
users to get into the game and be engaged for long periods of time.
The graphics may be extremely simple, but
I must say, it definitely has the nicest looking stickmen that I have ever seen. Now, I don't want to be too picky, but I wasn't
overly impressed by the 8-bit music in the game. There is an option however, that allows you
to mute the music as you play. With 20 themed courses, 180 holes, and multiplayer
mode, Super Stickman 2 will definitely keep you engaged. This is a must have mobile title which, for
a limited time, is only $0.99 both in the App Store and on Google Play. Thanks again for tuning in once again. Hit the subscribe button below to stay up
