hi guys it's Amy your golf coach welcome to being a Series level two I know a lot of you guys actually watch my beginner series and I know even a lot of advanced players watch it because Golf is all about basic fundamentals I wanted to continue on from that series already half and just kind of fine-tune your full swing so I'll be going through each positions and also eventually we'll get to hitting different clubs different lies different shots etc but today we'll start with the takeaway oh and don't mind the chromakey here I usually use this for my online golf lessons but I don't think I'll be using it that's why I didn't do the floors blue so I was just working on my game earlier hitting that's why I had to site up prevent the golf balls from hitting anything let's get started take away we'll be talking about the take away what is a take away it's like the first initial part of your swing maybe two or three feet from the setup you go boom that's the take away and how important is it very important it basically sets the tone for your swing there is really no right way of doing it but there are guidelines that's what I'm going to show you how I've chose this big Club so you can see it better let's take this alignment stick as a guideline so this is parallel to my desired target when I take it back pros usually go boom did you see that the first two feet boom it's staying nice and low to the ground Kofi's is not rotating crazy amount is think fairly the same as the address and also the clubface is going straight back on that target line instead of going like off it this way right so nice and low nice and slow nice and online nice and square instead of flipping it open number five would be the togetherness star ah okay can I take it back boom you see how my shoulder is my arms my hands grip and pull up at everything kind of move together so we call that the one please take away we like that when you do it correctly I'll say you're in sync synchronize or you're moving together in one piece smooth common these sakes I seed amateur golfers make would be this one a lot of them tend to boom rotate the clubface too much and the club head goes offline right away really fast and super high as well at the same time front of you you see how the club head grip in and the hands moved a lot but the shoulders haven't moved so now you're out of sync everything is moving separately and we don't want that if you are able to keep it online square face nice and low nice and slow nice and together then you have the highest chance of keeping the clubface square throughout the whole swing and also keeping the coffee's traveling on plane that means you're going to get it back down to the golf ball at impact more square with a lot more speed that means you're gonna hit the golf ball a lot longer and straighter here when I say square boom you're setting up to the golf ball if the coalface is perpendicular to the target we call that square that's how you set up to the golf ball right here this is square at the top 45 degrees angle is square so we have these positions throughout the whole swing what we consider as square so keeping the face square throughout the whole swing is very important once it gets off line like this now it's fanned open your body is very smart it's gonna try and improvise and hit it fat then if you don't improvise fast enough you're going to shank it she's a terrible terrible shot you don't want to know about square is really important number to be on plane when you set up to the golf ball you draw a line through your shaft that's the plane we usually refer to we like to keep the club head moving on that plane as much as possible up to like half way here right boom you don't want to get under a specially there are a lot of Tour players that tend to get above it a little bit but never under because once it goes under you barely have control over that face so we don't want to get under the plane we just like to stay somewhere close to a plane if we can those are just kind of terminologies I want to throw in there because of you guys need guidance in bats you want to check those five things in your takeaway if you do this correctly the rest of the string is a lot easier to control because you're square you're online your speed is great and you're turning in sync but once you get this rotation going now watch if you turn too much this way and then your body turns correctly now the claw face is way behind you there is no coming back after that guys so that's why we do not want to rotate rotate our hands that fast the easiest way to practice this takeaway is you can find a wall at home get the toe on the wall and then keep practicing back and forth like this right really understand how the shoulders attorney and how the club is staying on line without flipping open and then once you get better you can move on and do this and then hit a little chip shots so since it's in your path if you go flipping you will miss the golf ball or if you go out you're mr.
golf ball really try and keep that face low square and online so that was the beginning of being a serious level – how exciting I've hit the takeaway today work on that for me and in the next one I'm going to talk about the next position which is the eight o'clock position thanks for watching happy golfing and see you in the next one [Music] you.
