Hi, Welcome to We Play Golf. This is going to be a very short video on explaining you
how to keep the right distance.. …between you and the ball while chipping. [Intro music] Welcome back to We Play Golf. The golf channel where you easily learn how to play golf. If you're new to the channel, please consider subscribing. And if you have any questions or suggestions, put them in our comment box below. When you take your position for chipping, you might be too far away from the ball and then…
You top it because you actually swing too shallow. Or you are standing way too close to the ball in which you actually dig into the ground
with the toe of the club and then you you might slice it or even socket it
or take it on the toe, whatever… To make sure you got the right distance It's a very simple trick. You've got the ball in front of you… Take your right foot, as a right hand player.

Set it in front of the ball. Put your left foot behind it open up. You got the left foot with the ball… Into the heel of your left foot. The distance from your right foot towards your left foot is going to be the right distance
to have the club underneath you in the perfect position to chip. So the distance you need to have between you and the ball… is the length of your right foot
in front of the ball. Just like that.
Put your left foot a little bit open now the ball's on the heel. The distance between me and the ball
is now consistent, and I've got a perfect posture to chip. Be aware when you do this, when you put
your foot behind the ball not to improve the lie of the ball.

Of course, I would not suggest you to do
that on the golf course, but if you practice like this… You'll be very consistent in having the
correct position towards you and the ball for chipping. This is how We Play Golf.
See you next time! So put your right foot in front. left should be behind.
Open up. That's the distance you want…..in your address position between you and the ball now the club is in a perfect
position to make a chip.
