hi guys it's Amy your golf coach today is the mysterious beginner series level 2 golf lesson I told you about last time we worked on the 8 o'clock position last time so it really should be the half swing next but we're going to do something completely different and skip the half swing if you need some help with your half swing positions please refer back to the beginner series level one half swing lesson it's very thorough and I'm just assuming that you've seen my beginner lessons level in ones and you have a rough sketch of your swing going so I'm just trying to kind of give you some tempo into your swing and just fine-tune it so we're purposely skipping the half three position and go straight into the 3/4 position today how exciting because it's a position you really rarely learn about that is really going to help not break down those swings so much and give you their smoother tempo and from the 3/4 swing all you have to do is just complete your shoulder turn and you're at your full swing mm-hmm let's get started please check out the beginner series level 1 & 2 subscribe like comment down below how your golf game is now back to a golf lesson ok so we worked on the takeaway and the 8 o'clock position and have to usually look like this making an L we're going to skip that and go straight into the 3/4 swing to smoothen out your take back up to a fantastic-looking top of the backswing we did a split grip last time grip the lead hand in the correct spot and then instead of here the trail hand went down to the shaft so we're going to go ahead and do the same thing and you're going to get into your 8 o'clock position when the shaft is parallel to the ground and then what you want to do is you're going to continue to push that left hand on the grip end and go all the way until boom it's about ear high and what the trail hand is going to be doing they really don't do much up to the 8 o'clock position but from here when you keep you're going to feel that head in the trail hand like it's supporting the weight okay at have seen you can't really feel that your angle is about so so much so you need to feel that in your trail hand and that's really going to help you to be able to relax your hands at the top of the backswing and really set it into your trail hand and that's gonna help you to keep that coffee square keeping that compression going and you know how it feels when you hit it correctly with the right compression let me give you some positions kay from eight you go boom now your body turns a lot more than your half swing so your hips are a lot closer to full three about 45 degrees turns and 90 degrees your shoulder almost looks like gear high and the cool up is right in between your half swing position and your full swing position full so usually we refer it to parallel to the ground no more than that a lot of people to do tend to keep it shy of that that's not a problem and the hands are right in between half swing and fools doing it as well right there so like you're high slightly below is perfect so now look at it from the side view from eight o'clock you keep pushing your left palm and then feel the weight in the right you see it looks like I'm holding a tray and you see that clubface is 45 degrees that's square at the top when the club is parallel to the ground the club should be pointing at the target that's the correct position but because this is 3/4 swing your shaft has to point left to the target this is what we want to see so it gets into that trail hands supporting the club you feel that Plus getting that Club traveling on the right plane a lot of people that tend to go inside now they gotta compensate so what that really happens is they start tracking that way and you go across the top that's when Chickenwing happen worsening happens now it's all catch-up game from then on you're just improvising to get that Club somewhat square so you're losing a lot of speed a lot of energy a lot of accuracy which means you're gonna awful short and crooked combination we don't want to know about right that's why we get to eight o'clock and you pushing that left hand so the club is pointing about 15 to 20 degrees or so left of the target so this is something you can do standing in front of a wall at home excellent thing to do when you're working on positions instead of beating golf balls you gotta work on it indoors without hitting okay so you gotta stand about like a foot in front of the wall so there's a little bit of gap there eight o'clock you go two halves me there's a slight tap on the wall it should be a very light touch continue the shoulder turn keep feeling the head dragging on the wall a foot away from the wall or so eight o'clock turn half sweetie tap keep rotating really feel that club head leaning back a little bit we're really trying to check your three-quarter position to help you smoothing out your backswing get your good tempo going and also after half swing a lot of people break it down too much and then they don't know what to do with their hands so I gave you a very simple pushing the hands away into supporting it with the trail hand so you are like tossing it press down boom into the trail hand from here all you have to do is really complete your shoulder turn maybe like five or two ten degrees and you're done so I'm giving you a very simple feeling to get it in the right plane position and color face squareness as well we did something different today we hit 3/4 swing position where you rarely really get to see I hope you guys are able to follow please work on that pressing down with the left palm tossing it into the trail hand and cool pointing to the left of the target please work on that at home against the wall and in the next lesson we have a lot to talk about for the top of the vaccine let me know if you have any questions thank you for golfing with me see the next one really not you
