HELLO EVERYBODY TODAY I SHOW YOU HOW TO REPLACE TIMING BELT ON GOLF MK6 2.0 TDi OK LETS START THE CHALENGE REMOVE THE ENGINE COVER UNSCREW FUELL FILTER , SCREEN WASH BOOTLE COOLANT BOOTLE FUELL PUMP WITH BRACKET NOW, WE CAN LOCATE EVERYTHING TOP OF THE ENGINE NEXT REMOVE WHEEL AND ENGINE COVER ALL NEW PARTS READY TO FITTED NEW WATER PUMP MUST BE FITTED NOW PLEASE REMOVE TIMING BELT COVER NOW WE NEED THE JACK UNDER THE ENGINE TO SUPPORT IT AND REMOVE THE ENGINE MOUNT LETS REMOVE THE SIDE ENGINE MOUNT BRACKET , 3x16MM BOLTS, TWO ON THE TOP AND 1 ON THE BOTTOM NOW LAST BOLT ON THE BOTTOM 4 BOLTS FOR CRANK PULLEY 16MM WRENCH FOR AUX BELT TENSIONER REMOVE THE PULLEY 10MM BOLT MOVE THE PIPE OF THE LAST ENGINE MOUNT BOLT 4 x 30 TORX BOLT FOR BOTTOM TIMING BELT COVER REMOVE LAST MOUNT BOLT REMOVE THE SIDE ENGINE MOUNT LAST BOLT FOR BOTTOM TIMING BELT COVER REMOVE THE COVER WE NEED THAT LOLI POP FOR LOCK THE CAMSHAFT AND FUEL PUMP AND THESE ONE FOR LOCK THE CRANK LITTLE ARROW MUST BE ON THE TOP TURN THE CRANK BY 19MM SOCKET UNTIL THE ARROW WILL BE ON THE TOP THAT IS THE CORRECT POSITION ARROW ON THE TOOL MUST BE FITTED OPPOSITE THE PULLEY ARROW VIEW FROM THE TOP NOW WE CAN FITTED BOTH TOP LOCKING TOOL WE CAN USE THE WRENCH TO MOVING THE PULLEY LITTLE BIT IF THE PUMP LOCK PIN DOESN'T GO IN REMOVE THE CAMSHAFT LOCK AND FIT THE PUMP LOCK FIRST NOW FIT THE CAM PIN BACK NOW I USED AIR TOOLS TO IMPROVE THE SPEED 3 CAMSHAFT PULLEY BOLTS LOOSEN NOW LOOSEN THE FUEL PUMP 3 BOLTS 15MM SOCKET TO UNSCREW TENSIONER BOLT 13MM TO REMOVE TOP ROLLER 16MM TO REMOVE BIG ROLLER LETS REMOVE OLD BELT AND TENSIONER 13MM SOCKET TO REMOVE BOTTOM ROLLER BLOW UP THE DUST INCLUDED THE THREAD FOR ROLLERS NOW REMOVE THE 3 BOLTS FOR WATER PUMP 10mm LIFT UP THE COOLANT PIPE TOP OF THE LOCKING PIN FOR EASY ACCESS FOR LAST BOLT PUPM IS READY TO REMOVE FIT SOMETHING LIKE BOWL UNDER ENGINE FOR DRAIN THE COOLANT TO IT TURN THE PUMP LEFT RIGHT TO LOOSEN IT NEW PUMP.
BEFORE YOU FITTED GREASE THE SEAL FOR EASY FITTED MAKE SURE THE PUMP HOUSING IS FREE OF RUST ETC NOW REFITTING BACK ALL 3 BOLTS THE ARE SPECIAL 7mm SIZE TIGHTEN THE 3 BOLTS GENTLY SMOOTH NOW FITTING BOTTOM ROLLER DO NOT USE TO MUCH POWER NOW FITTED TENSIONER ON CORRECT POSITION DO NOT TIGHT THE NUT YET NOW BIG ROLLER THE SMALL ROLLER WE FITTED AFTER BELT INSTALL MOVE BOTH PULLEY TO THE RIGHT FOR EASY SETUP THE BELT IN CORRECT POSITION NOW WE FITTED THE BELT, FIRST ON THE BOTTOM BUT NOT ON YET NEXT CAMSHAFT NOW FUEL PUMP PULLEY THE LAST WE FITTED THE BELT ON THE CRANK NOW WE TURN THE PULLEY TO HE MIDDLE POSITION ON EACH 3 BOLTS ON CAMSHAFT AND PUMP BOLTS NOW I FITTED THE BELT ON THE CRANK PULLEY PUSH IN THE BELT ON CORRECT POSITION ON EACH ELEMENT NOW THE LAST SMALL ROLLER GENTLY TIGHTEN IT 6mm INBUS PLEASE TURN RIGHT UNTIL THE ARROW COVER THE GAP ON TENSIONER THAT CORRECT POSITION WE NEED I SHOWED YOU ON OLD TENSIONER 15mm SOCKET AND TIGHT THE NUT GENTLY LETS HAVE LOOK ON IT I MOVE THE CAMSHAFT LEFT RIGHT TO LOOSEN THE PIN TIGHT THE 3 BOLTS GENTLY NOW THE FUEL PUMP PULLEY IF YOU HAVE TORQUE WRENCH PLEASE USED IT.
