Snow is falling, it is slippery but in summer, as soon as the sun comes out and it gets warm more of these cars start to arrive Do people mainly want to raise the power so that the car is only stronger or do people come who say "I am doing routes and I would like the car to be tuned to use less fuel" so that the 5th or 6th gear would be more economical ? That's how often people come not those who use cars heavily but the average Kowalski, even taxi drivers come to save on fuel consumption to make the car more dynamic and economical OK, but there are also those who want to get the maximum out of the car From our videos on the channel whoever has watched before knows that there are some of these diesels the power is around 500 HP First, let's focus on those 500 HP in other cars then we will talk about yours Are you able to get these 500 HP very easily or the construction of the engine is already very

example, 600 HP If such a 600 horse unit was tuned for 500 and someone will use it wisely the engine will not break down it will be possible to use it normally but to use it wisely Now let's go to your car how much horsepower do you have ? things At this point, and after so many crashes of drag racing diesels we have learned a lot and we know how to eliminate mistakes.
The most important thing is to diagnose the problem. It cannot be said that such power was created right away as I said, I have this car 12 years ago and a year ago it had 640 HP And so every year I drew conclusions I kept thinking about this project what else could I improve, what is the problem and somehow it works out like that What will be in 2022 ? I do not have high hopes, because the potential of this engine is slowly coming to an end The potential of the components is still large but the engine's durability is limited the blocks are already starting to crack, and this is a non-replaceable element It is very difficult to get anything more but that doesn't mean we won't try You can even stay at the same power but change the engine's operating characteristics transferring power to different revolutions or adjusting the gear ratios in a different way, to increase its parameters And to swap to a higher capacity ? does it make sense ? There were seasons where we raced with almost half the power and we managed to damage five engines It is funny my friends and I call it a disease it is a hobby and an addiction at the same time.
I can't live without it I think about it all the time and we laugh that the disease is developing properly and is still progressing At the moment, when we have already achieved some power level and we manage to tune this car in such a way that we know how to use it, so that it drives, breaks records, does not break down At present, this car can use up to 4 gearboxes during the racing season When we are at the competition, I am laughing that you are in the Lębork Group You as the person assembling these cars and the boys who drive them You are a group of colleagues, you compete on the track but as you say, you can help each other together and it is very nice to see it Exactly, the boys from Lębork, they also operate a lot of these cars themselves I help with tuning, we have some ideas together but all the cars that race, it is a joint work of all of us We only have the outer pillar with TDI here the whole interior is different or have many components been replaced with reinforced ones ? At the moment, this engine has only the block practically aluminum in the head and the crankshaft,
the rest of all elements are replaced pistons, connecting rods, the engine is 1.9 TDI, but it is a STROCKER, there is increased capacity Everything in the head has been replaced the shaft, springs, plates, larger valves, valve seats everything that can be modified, which gives us more possibilities has been replaced in this engine and the fuel system has been rebuilt And what kind of top-up ? At present, 4 bars of absolute boost, plus 1 bar atmospheric pressure I am asking this because I was interested in the photo you sent before we came here Some say that the intake above a certain boost must be 3 inches, or more while you pump 4 bars, and the intake is 63 mm? 67mm The inlet is practically closed it is enough because it is a diesel engine the rotation speed of this engine is effective up to 5500 – 5700 RPM If it was gasoline, which would spin higher, where it is known that the flows are greater this intake would certainly not be able to cope Tell me Daniel, this is the set you rode before I already know I remember the stickers, there is a set that you used before and after No, no, these are two sets, two different sizes and both have been used this season Which was the first ? You can always think, only this is always limited to finances This is a relatively light wheel, which was on the secondary market for a small amount of money the rims are Opel, the structural ones are quite light and for now they are enough Cool for SLIC tires The tire is also thin, with little rubber, so it is light So on small wheels ? and of course there were tests on methanol after several engine failures we noticed that methanol spoiled this diesel for us Diesel compression is too high and the
methanol ignites automatically due to the pressure increase It didn't light when it should, and the knocking combustion was destroying our engines there were a few failures before I listened to the engine in my headphones and figured out what was going on It was then that we gave up methanol and started using only clean water to lower the temperature of the exhaust gases and not to damage the engine Yes, there are different schools I wanted to use methanol injection for some time Reading about it and talking to drivers at competitions there are those who stated after the results that it is more efficient to pour 100% ethanol and there are those who say that the maximum is 30% and the rest of the water Exactly Maybe it is due to the engine specifications I think it's more of a concern for the engine The increase in power from the use of methanol is negligible in relation to the fact that if there is more water, the engine will last longer we lower the combustion temperature and the durability depends on the occurrence of overheating of the unit It is different how you make a car for yourself and how you provide the service Such destructive attempts, when someone wants to check something or see how much it can withstand it is better to do it in your car, because these are expensive attempts The gearbox is 02M, 6-speed The SQS selector is attached to the gearbox, so sequential that we only pull the gears backwards The selector was bought from a friend and it is only a 4-speed version So we have a 6-speed gearbox in the car,
but we are only able to switch to 4 gears I just wanted to ask you because you have a very long fourth gear Yes, the gearbox is built by me actually 4 other gearboxes The same 02M, but with different code different gear ratios in order to effectively accelerate under this power, under these revolutions Do you have 5th and 6th gears ? Of these universal drivers, commonly used in Tuning I have not seen anyone have such a use in diesel But everything is evolving, people try different things, so it's possible that something will come up soon Maybe you can do it yourself ? Follow in the footsteps of our colleagues, the TurboLamiks who released the control unit for the gearbox You will make a driver to operate 1.9Tdi immediately with the automatic STAGE one, two, three on a button I will not do the driver, bu I will try something else, because the possibilities of this old driver are slowly running out If not this one, then what ? As for the BOOST itself and if the turbo would go out of scale, it could be overloaded Other things, such as temperature, the controller sees it, but does not react From the outset, this car does not look so heavily rebuilt Its shape from the top has not changed, it looks like a serial car as if we viewed it from the back, the manifolds, the turbine looks different but the front, the shape of the engine is as it was What's the turbocharger like here ?
