Would you like an easy drill to draw the
golf ball? Sick of hitting slices or pulls or pushes out to the right. You
just want to draw the golf ball. You'd love to know is there an easy way you
can work on it from home and start hitting draws
out on the golf course. Well, good news is coming up towards the
end of this video I've got a really simple drill that can help you draw the
golf ball every single time. You're going to learn it very shortly, I'll see you
soon.

Hey it's Troy from www.hittingitsolid.com

both keep on improving and playing better golf together.

Let's get started.
Ok, so you to draw the golf ball. So I'm going to be showing you in just a
bit how to draw the golf ball with a really simple drill you can practice at home.
First of all I just want to quickly go through why you might be struggling to
draw the golf ball and just quickly talk about what is a draw in golf.
Because it might be, you might be someone who's not really sure what a draw is.
You've heard your mates talking about it on the golf course and it's something
you definitely interested in playing. So as a right-handed golfer if I'm trying
to hit a draw down my target line, it means towards the camera what I'm trying to do is
start the ball slightly to the right and curve it back in to the left of my
target. And that's considered a draw. So for lefties is just the opposite
starting down to the left and curving it back towards a target. So that's what I
love to play personally and if you can get this right the draw ends up being a
much more powerful golf shot.

But there’s nothing wrong with fades at all. You do
need to play them every now and again. I personally prefer a draw, it just feels
a lot more comfortable to me and also gets you a little bit more run particularly
with your driver off the tee as well. So why do most golfers struggle to play a
draw and end up hitting a slice. For the absolute most part be two
things, one will be your grip. So if you've got two hands to start with and
that would mean as my left hand is on the club like this I can only really see
one knuckle there and if I put my right hand on and I can see two knuckles there.
That's considered a really weak grip and if I was to swing like this
that face, it automatically it's really hard to square it automatically comes
slightly open as I swing through and it makes it really hard to get a draw with
a really weak grip. So ideally first thing I would look at if you're
struggling in this area is just turn that left hand slightly inwards like
this, just slightly to the right and have at least a couple of knuckles showing on
that left hand.

So if you can see something like that that's a little bit
of a stronger grip and with your right hand, have it a little bit more turn a
little bit more to the left the opposite way and a little bit more under the grip
and that will help accentuate as you come through, help accentuate the club
just getting a natural roll and actual closing of the face just ever so
slightly which will help accentuate that draw.

So that's one key area that I'll
be looking at. The other one is usually the most common and I'll show you this
from down towards the camera. I’ll chuck a
ball down here. The reason why you might not be able to hit a draw at the moment
while you're hitting fades or pulls or whatever it might be as you're coming
down you're coming down too steep. You can see my club is coming down really
steep and cutting across the golf ball and it's next to impossible to hit a
draw when you've got a club coming down so steep and imparting left-to-right
spin on the ball.

So from down the line you might look something like this, you
might be coming down like this and you see the club coming down and it's
cutting across the ball. What we want to be doing it's coming more inside and
more that sort of angle there and that helps get the draw. Now coming up and
just a second got a really simple drill you can practice at home you're going to be
able to draw all day long. Let's get into it. Okay let's get stuck into our
easy drill to draw the golf ball. So I'm going to show you this two different
ways so I've got a golf ball there I'm going to grab
couple more or just one more actually. This is called a two ball drill. Now I'm
going to show you a couple of different variations of this depending on what
your comfort level might be.

So what I'm going to do and let's get one ball down
here now, the second ball I'm going to put. Now I've roughly good now I'm
setting this up pretty easy because it if you've never hit a draw before you
want this as easy as possible to practice and also as an at-home golf
drill with two balls we don't want to be hitting balls that end up hitting any
houses or anything. So I've got two balls here now, I've got them about two club
head widths apart. Now I've got it on a diagonal angle and I've got the balls
probably about two club widths behind each other as well. As well as on that
angle now. The reason I'm doing that is I'm trying to embed into your game more
of an inside path on the downswing that's going to help you hit that draw
ball flight that you're looking for.

So what you're going to do is once you've
got those balls set up. Now I will show you this from towards the camera and
down the line so you do get a really close look at this. I'm just going to set
up with my clubhead in line with that that rear ball and I'm going to be
trying to do. Let's make a swing and miss those two golf balls. That's really
it. And because of the way I've got this set up if I try to do any sort of steep
swing I'm going to hit that top ball.

If I go too far inside and I’ll hit that ball
there. But if I make a a nice smooth slightly inside to out golf swing
I'll miss both those balls. So let's give it a shot. Set up here,
nice smooth swing we miss both those balls and you're setting yourself up for
a much better chance of hitting a draw. Now let me show you this from a couple
of different angles now. If this drill if this scares you at home and maybe
you're just starting out in golf you want to hit a draw and are a bit worried you
might hit either one of those balls. Try it with a couple of tees. It works exactly
the same way. Get rid of those balls there and I'll show you this from down
towards the camera. We put one here, hopefully you can see these. I’ll put
another one behind it on that angle and we're going to set up here.

This drill
just works absolutely fantastic for really embedding that inside-out swing
path they help you hit draws in your golf game. So we're going to set up
towards the rear tee you don't need to change your setup, your stance or anything
at all. I'm going to set up as normal we're just going to make a nice easy
swing straight between those tees. So you can
see in slow motion, you can see I came slightly inside the club that's right
about there and we got that nice inside path that's going to help you hit that
draw all day long. This works so effectively once you practice this at
home you can take it to the driving range put tees on the ground, put balls on the
ground on your mat and practice hitting shots and I guarantee you will start
hitting draws and will stop slicing the ball really quickly.

So I'm going to show
you one more angle from down the line just to give you another look at it.
Okay, so we've got our tees set up, There’s our stance, nice and easy
swing right between those tees. As you get better at this you can push those
two slightly closer together but only after you practice that a number of
times at home and at the driving range. And what you'll find is once you've done
a lot of practice of this you be able to start hitting a lot of draw shots when
that better inside path on command. It will really help you out.
Pop a comment down below if you've tried this drill to help you draw the
golf ball.

Maybe you've tried another drill that’s worked really well, that's
helped you curve the ball right to left a lot more effectively. Drop a comment
down below I will reply to every comment. Now that you've got an easy drill to
draw the golf ball you need to work on eliminating your golf slice altogether.
Now that will really fix up most of your slicing issues, but you may still have a
couple other issues that may be causing you to curve the ball left to right. Now
above this video I'll have our another link to a video on YouTube here that
will really help you with your golf slice. This drill should work, but
sometimes it takes more than one to really help you out. So check out this
video here, I’ll put a second one up there as well that will assist you with
the same issue and that will really get you sorted out.
