(golf ball hit) (golf in hole) – Hey there. Welcome. In our past few videos, which we'll post up here and here, we've been talking about the power and the fun of the one piece take away with your golf back swing. But here's the deal. I bet a lot of you didn't realize that you're already pretty good at the one piece take away. You've been using it, even if you didn't know it, even if you haven't played
a whole lot of golf. Have you played putt putt? There's a hint. Let's get into this drill right now. Okay, for ease of use, I've put these matts down here. I want you to just notice how my club is just going back and forth, not going to an outside path, not going to an inside path.
It's all about my shoulders, right? Rocking back and forth, just as I would do with my putter. Okay, I gave you a pretty good tip there. Think about this. When we roll a great putt the chances are high that our wrists and our arms weren't involved. What did we do? We probably held the putter and we rocked our shoulders, right? We just rocked our shoulders. Breaking news. That's a one piece take away. Remember, again, in the other videos how we talked about it. It's really about making
use of that solid Y, right? Here we go, right? And turning with the upper body, utilizing the upper body. The same motion that we do in putting. So, here's the great news. We have a drill for you that you can use with your putter, or you can use with your seven iron. It's the same thing. We just want you to get comfortable with the fact that the one piece take away is that putting motion. If you practice putting or along with just again, seven iron, five iron,
whatever's convenient for you.
And before you know it you're gonna have a great swing when you head out to the course, okay? Let's practice it real quick. Okay, you can see that
I'm here in position if I was gonna hit a putt. And hint, it's a simple
rocking of my shoulders, right? Right? Straight down the path back and forth. All right, now, I think with some of our putting strokes may be a bit to the inside, but definitely not swinging out or swinging in at the extremes. So, you simply practiced
your solid putting stroke, know that you are also practicing a solid one piece take away with the key elements being this, removal of the hands and the wrists excessively from your motion. Practice that and you'll not only be swinging and striking
your full shots effectively, but you'll be putting better too. See you in the next video. (upbeat music).
