You can find the complete
Faurecia Easy 2 Fit kit exhaust system used in the video
in the link in the description. Turn off your car's ignition, set
the handbrake and open the hood by pulling the corresponding lever.
Disconnect the battery. To change the exhaust system on your vehicle
, you must alternately lift the rear and front of the vehicle
. You can also raise it entirely if you have the equipment to do so.
We also highly recommend watching the How to Safely Raise Your Car tutorial before doing this step
. A rusty, damaged or excessively worn
exhaust system can result in the scrutineering being refused. It is therefore advisable to replace
these parts as a precaution. The exhaust system on this vehicle
consists of two parts. Therefore, when replacing your rear silencer, the exhaust system must be
separated from the rear silencer. With used cars it is possible that the
connection between the exhaust system and the muffler was welded. If this is the
case, you must cut through your exhaust system in order to replace the rear silencer
at exactly the point that allows you to install the elements without adaptation problems
and to remove your rear silencer.

Then get a cutting
tool that you can use to make a straight cut
without damaging the heat shield. If the exhaust system in your
vehicle is the original, first remove
the clamp that connects the rear silencer to
the exhaust system using a socket wrench and a 13 mm insert. You can now loosen the two silent blocks that
attach the rear silencer. Spray them with penetrating oil to ease their removal
, then use a screwdriver to stretch the rubber
and loosen the silent blocks from the support rod.

Repeat the same operations
on the passenger side. The rear silencer is now
exposed, you can remove it. Take out the silent blocks completely. You now have to remove the second part of the exhaust system
. Follow the exhaust system to the front of the vehicle and locate the two metal plates
protecting the exhaust system. Brush the four nuts that
secure each plate, then spray them with penetrating oil to
make their removal easier. Then loosen them with a socket wrench and 13mm socket
and remove the plates. Locate the ferrule that connects the exhaust system
to the part with the catalytic converter. Brush the clamp screws and
spray them with penetrating oil. Loosen the sleeve with a socket wrench
and a size 13 open-end wrench. You can now go a bit
further down the exhaust system. Pry the silent blocks
out of their holders with a screwdriver. The exhaust system is now exposed. Slide
it backwards to take it out of its case. The Easy 2 Fit kits from Faurecia are
broken down into different parts so that you can easily and safely install the entire exhaust system yourself
without any special tools.

The kits come with all exhaust system-
matched mounting accessories, so you don't have to worry about missing items
or compatibility issues that might prevent you from completing the
process successfully. First, grab the pipe
on which you need to install the two silent blocks . Grease the silent blocks
to facilitate their installation and place them on the rods.
You have to use a bit of force when installing the new silent blocks. Since they
're brand new, you'll need to break the membrane. Then take the part that connects the exhaust system to the part
with the catalytic converter. Take the clamping sleeve to
connect the two prepared elements or those marked with two blue lines
. After that you have to bring the two blue lines
on the tubes together and then move the ferrule so that its center is
on the crossing point of the two tubes.

Once it is positioned correctly, tighten
the two nuts of the collet with a 13mm wrench, making
the whole thing completely tight. Finally tighten them with
a torque wrench. Take the second
ferrule that you can use to connect the last pipe to the whole on
the side marked with a line. Again, follow the ferrule installation instructions as in the last process
and finally tighten with
a torque wrench. Your exhaust system is now ready for installation.
You can compare it to the exhaust system you removed earlier to verify
that you put it together correctly. Take the 58mm clamp included in the kit
and attach it to the front of the exhaust system. Slide the exhaust system onto the part
with the catalytic converter. Then place the silent blocks on their bars
to support the exhaust system. Once hung on the two silent blocks
, position the clamp close to the end of the tube. and tighten with a socket wrench
and 13mm socket. Finally tighten them with
a torque wrench.

You can now reinsert the two
metal plates. Take the silent blocks included in the Easy 2 Fit kit and grease
them to make installation easier. Install them on the
muffler to facilitate their installation when you put the muffler back in the
next operations. Slide the 54mm clamp included in the kit
onto the muffler inlet. You can now install the rear silencer. First install the silent block on the passenger side in its place
, separately from the rear silencer. Slide the muffler into
place and place it on the exhaust system. Keep holding it and install
the silent block on the driver's side.

Finally, place it on the pre-installed
silent block on the passenger side. As soon as the rear silencer is correctly
hung on the two silent blocks , you place it correctly in the exhaust system.
Then position the clamp near the end of the pipe and tighten with a
socket wrench and 13mm socket. Finally tighten them with
a torque wrench. The installation of your new exhaust system
is now complete.

Check that the exhaust system does not come
into contact with the heat shield anywhere. Now you can put the car
back on the ground. Reconnect the battery. process ended..
